If you want immersive, deep bass and silence from the world around you for long listening sessions, choose Monster Persona Noise Cancelling; if you need a secure, waterproof fit that keeps your ears open while swimming or running, choose PSIER Bone Conduction Swimming. This isn't a close call between two similar devices; it is a decision between two fundamentally different ways of experiencing audio. One is built to shut the world out with active cancellation and rich, studio-grade sound, while the other is engineered to let the world in while staying completely sealed against water and sweat.
The choice ultimately comes down to your primary environment and your specific ear shape. For those searching for the best earbuds for big ears who find traditional in-ear designs uncomfortable or painful, the PSIER offers a solution that doesn't block the canal. However, if your priority is high-fidelity music reproduction and blocking out a noisy commute, the Monster Persona is the clear technical winner. You cannot get the same depth of bass or the same level of isolation from one product as the other, so understanding where you will use them most is the only way to decide.
• Monster Persona Noise Cancelling: Delivers powerful 40mm drivers with deep bass and active noise cancellation to block traffic and plane noise, but its over-ear design can feel heavy during intense activity.
• PSIER Bone Conduction Swimming: Offers an IPX8 waterproof rating for underwater swimming and a bone-air hybrid driver system that leaves the ear canal open, though it lacks the deep bass punch of closed-back headphones.
• Who it's for: The Monster Persona is for travelers, office workers, and audiophiles who want to escape noise; the PSIER is for swimmers, runners, and cyclists who need situational awareness and a secure fit.
The Monster Persona Noise Cancelling headphones are designed for the listener who values immersion above all else. At the heart of this device is a pair of powerful 40mm drivers equipped with Liquid Crystal Polymer diaphragms. These components work together with a digital sound enhancement engine to upscale compressed files, aiming to deliver a High-Resolution Audio experience that feels closer to being in a recording studio than just listening through a speaker. If you are looking for the best hifi stereo ear clip headphones for big ears, you might be surprised by the form factor here, as these are over-ear cups rather than clips. However, the sheer size of the drivers allows for a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, which is crucial for capturing the full depth of music.

The defining feature of this model is its Advanced Active Noise Cancellation. It utilizes dual-noise sensor microphones specifically tuned to detect and cancel out low and mid-frequency sounds. This means that whether you are on a flight, sitting in a busy city traffic jam, or trying to focus in a loud home office, the ambient roar is significantly dampened. This technology creates a private bubble of silence that allows you to hear details in your music that would otherwise be lost. The memory foam ear cups are designed to be breathable and comfortable, ensuring that you can wear these for extended periods without the fatigue often associated with heavy, clamping headphones.
However, this product is not a universal fit for everyone. Its strength lies in stationary or slow-moving environments. The retractable head beam and 90-degree swiveling ear cups make it highly portable and foldable, fitting easily into the included storage bag. Yet, the weight of 297 grams and the over-ear construction mean they are not ideal for high-intensity sports or swimming. They rely on Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity, which provides a reliable link up to 10 meters away, but they do not have the rugged durability required for submersion. If you are someone who needs to hear your surroundings for safety while jogging, or if you plan to take your music into the pool, this unit will not serve your needs.
For the user who wants the best open ear headphones for big ears, this specific model presents a trade-off. While the large ear cups accommodate larger ears comfortably due to the memory foam padding, they do cover the ear entirely. This is perfect for noise isolation but eliminates the "open" feeling some users prefer. The battery life is exceptional, offering over 30 hours of playtime on a single charge, with a quick charge feature that gives 2 hours of playback in just 5 minutes. This makes it an outstanding companion for long-haul travel or multi-day work sessions where charging opportunities are scarce.
In stark contrast to the sealed isolation of the Monster, the PSIER Bone Conduction Swimming headphones are built for the active lifestyle. Their core innovation is a hybrid driver system that combines bone conduction with air conduction. This dual-component design works synergistically to enrich the full frequency response. By transmitting sound vibrations through the cheekbones while also utilizing air conduction, the PSIER claims to deliver 30% more bass than standard single-driver bone conduction models. This is a significant engineering step forward, attempting to solve the common complaint that bone conduction headphones sound thin or lack low-end impact.
The most critical specification for this device is its IPX8 waterproof rating. Unlike standard sweat-resistant earbuds, these can be submerged in water up to two meters deep for one hour. This makes them uniquely suited for swimming. When used underwater, the device switches to MP3 mode, utilizing its built-in 32GB memory card which can store up to 8,000 songs. This phone-free listening capability is essential for athletes who want to leave their phones behind while training. The seamless liquid silicone coating ensures a soft, lightweight fit that stays in place even when wearing swim caps, goggles, or bike helmets.
The target audience for this product is clearly defined by its durability and openness. The Bluetooth 6.0 technology ensures ultra-low transmission latency, which is vital for syncing audio with movement during sports. With an 8-hour battery life, you can enjoy uninterrupted music during long swims or marathon runs. The fast magnetic charging takes 2 hours to fully charge the unit, which is slightly slower than the Monster's quick charge, but sufficient for daily workouts. The inclusion of an AI-driven Boean app allows users to personalize their sound profile, tailoring audio settings to match individual preferences and creating unique soundscapes.
This product is particularly relevant for those with sensitive ears or larger ear canals who struggle with the pressure of in-ear monitors. Because the ear canal remains open, there is no risk of pain or moisture buildup inside the ear, making it a top contender for the best earbuds for big ears who prioritize comfort and hygiene. However, the trade-off is that because the ear is open, there is zero passive or active noise cancellation. In a loud gym or a windy outdoor run, you will hear the environment just as clearly as the music. This is a feature, not a bug, for safety-conscious runners, but a limitation for anyone seeking total auditory immersion.

After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases for both devices, I would buy the PSIER Bone Conduction Swimming for my personal collection if my primary activities involved swimming or outdoor running. The ability to submerge the headphones and keep my ears open for safety is a non-negotiable feature for me. However, if I were looking for the best earbuds for big ears specifically for long flights or quiet home listening, I would switch to the Monster Persona. The over-ear design of the Monster offers a level of comfort and sound quality that the PSIER simply cannot match. Ultimately, the PSIER wins on versatility for active lifestyles, while the Monster wins on pure audio fidelity and isolation. I recommend the Monster Persona if you value silence and deep sound, but the PSIER is the superior tool for keeping your ears safe and dry while moving.
Yes, the Monster Persona uses large memory foam cups that accommodate big ears comfortably, while the PSIER's open-ear design avoids pressure on the ear canal entirely, making both suitable for larger ear shapes.
Absolutely. The PSIER features an IPX8 waterproof rating and includes an MP3 mode for underwater use, allowing you to listen to stored music while submerged up to two meters deep.
The Monster Persona Noise Cancelling offers significantly longer battery life at 30 hours compared to the PSIER's 8 hours, making it better for long trips or extended listening sessions.
No, the PSIER headphones do not have active noise cancellation because they use an open-ear design to allow environmental sound in for safety and situational awareness.
