So too Godzilla. The series of films featuring the scaly mountain-sized monster born from the atomic devastation of World War II has reached its 70th anniversary. It has survived technological advances that have gone well beyond a guy in a giant lizard suit, irony-armed jokesters who have spent decades lobbing cracks at Godzilla and its Kaiju cousins, and even the CGI-larded American iterations that have all but drained the joy out of the concept with blunt, un-nuanced spectacle.

Godzilla Minus One returns the metaphor to its original immediate post-war roots by telling the story of Shikishima (former child actor Ryunosuke Kamiki), a Kamikaze who did not complete his mission and who froze up when he had a chance to really put a hurt on Godzilla; the monster ends up slaughtering a battalion of mechanics on the small island of Odo. This time, Godzilla is a powerful symbol of the addictive pull of destruction, and how once unleashed, weapons of mass destruction can never again be contained.

The armies of the Burning Hells are about to become a lot more hellacious. In patch 1.0.5, we'll be introducing Monster Power, a new system designed to give players more control over how challenging enemies are in each difficulty setting. Similar to the "Players X" command in Diablo II, Monster Power gives Diablo III players the option to increase the health and damage of monsters according to different "power levels" -- and in return, they'll receive scaling bonuses to their adventure stats (including experience, Magic Find, and Gold Find) as well as more drops.

Starting at MP1, each level of Monster Power will increase monster damage and health by a scaling amount depending on difficulty. To reward your audacity, your hero will receive bonuses to experience, Magic Find, and Gold Find (which will stack above the 300% cap).

In Inferno, in addition to increased experience, Magic Find, and Gold Find, whenever a monster dies and drops an item normally (whether it be gold, a potion, or a piece of gear), the monster also has a chance to drop an additional bonus item. The chance to drop a bonus item will scale up with each MP level as detailed in the table below.*

Monster Hunter: Glory retains much of Monster Hunter: World's style and gameplay mechanics. However, it has several reworked mechanics from older games--the most prominent of which is the return of underwater combat, which now allows for greater freedom of movement as well as the ability to "sprint" underwater. In addition, monsters can be mounted underwater, as the mounting mechanic from earlier titles returns. This mounting mechanic is further developed--monsters will still run and attack as they did in World to remove hunters from their bodies, but it now comes with a much greater risk. Failing a mount will result in the hunter being thrown off the monster as they lie flat on their back and catch their breath from the impact, causing mounting to become more of a risk-rewardIn addition, Monster Hunter Glory has the largest areas in the series, slightly larger than those in World. The difference is that these areas are far more dangerous. Every area has inclement weather hazards, several areas that inhibit movement due to high vegetation, water, or rough terrain; fewer beaten paths, and a higher density of dangerous monsters. The goal of this experience is to create a world that feels lived in, but also more dangerous.

I am struggling with this, because I know how I should have reacted, how I should always react when my temper flares, but . . . Controlling my temper is something I will have to always be conscious of and work at. It will always have to be a choice I have to make, because I do not like the person that I am when that big green rage-monster takes over.

I know I fail the Lord every single day. The only thing I can do is ask His forgiveness, thank Him for His patience, love and mercy, and wake up tomorrow knowing that daily my slate is wiped clean. This morning I fell (very) short of the glory of God and I am being heavily convicted of it. But each moment is a new opportunity to let God do His work in me, and to be the person He is making me into.

God Guts and Glory was a Chevrolet Silverado monster truck owned by Joey and Melissa Stathas out of Florida and has toured throughout the Southeast, and even Poland. It was formerly the original Aftershock. The truck has also run as Royal Purple.

Expansions to the Dungeons & Dragons bestiary are always exciting for dungeon masters and players alike, and the newest additions are arriving courtesy of Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants. Unsurprisingly, this new sourcebook contains a number of new giant enemies, humanoid and animal alike, but also features a number of creatures of regular size with connections to giants in DnD lore. With over 70 new monsters, Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants has something for every campaign.

Like many creatures added to DnD 5e in books released after the Monster Manual, the monsters put forth in Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants feature a wide variety of abilities and attacks. Dungeon masters tired of falling back on enemies with basic bite and claw attacks should be satisfied with some of the more unique powers, and players interested in the lore of the giants will have plenty of new material to explore. The best Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants monsters deliver above and beyond in one or both of these regards.

Bag jellies are some of the weakest monsters included in Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants, but they're still one of the more interesting additions to the game. These oozes put a twist on staple DnD slime enemies by occupying bags carried by giants, making for a nasty little surprise for players who get a little too curious or greedy. Although the acid damage dealt by bag jellies isn't significant, their ability to grapple creatures could easily make things go south quickly for a party if a giant is lurking nearby.

The variety of monsters in Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants includes a number of upsized animals, the most amusing of which is definitely the giant goose. Giant geese can be employed well for a tonal shift if DnD dungeon masters want to subvert player expectations in an intense moment, but they're no slouch in combat. The most devastating blow they can deal is the Thunderous Honk, which can deafen players while striking with major thunder damage. Players who know Giant and Sylvan can attempt to reason with these monstrous avian creatures, but they're unlikely to get anything but earsplitting noises in return.

The scions of giants' gods are the most powerful monsters in Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants, and a scion of Stronmaus is the strongest of the strong. Typically sleeping inside a cradle of the storm scion, scions of Stronmaus awaken when their cradles are destroyed. Accomplishing this task is no small feat, as cradles themselves can fight, but the foes that lurk inside should horrify parties. With the ability to churn up storms, acid rain, hail, and lighting, scions of Stronmaus turn weather into a plaything and earn a rightful place as the best new Dungeons & Dragons monster in Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants.

When brave adventurers face the dangers of the world, they want something to show for it. This supplement provides individual loot for each monster in Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants, as well as a basic crafting and harvesting system that works well with 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons.

Initially the kids just saw the fast cars, the monster machines, dashing here and there, racing to get the speed, but then once we got into it, there were challenges for the kids to get involved, with numbers appearing on screen. The kids were encouraged to shout out the answers and help solve the problem, as well as learn fun facts on machinery and how things work.

The newest sourcebook for Dungeons & Dragons is titled Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants, and sure enough, this new sourcebook is populated with an incredible variety of oversized monsters suitable for any D&D campaign. Most of the 80+ new monsters in this D&D sourcebook are either giants or related to them, such as critters that giants keep as pets or humanoids with giant ancestry, like goliath giant-kin.

A skilled dungeon master could build an entire giant-themed campaign with these monsters and other resources in mind, in the same vein as Storm King's Thunder. Whether the DM modifies an existing campaign or homebrews a new one where giants shine in the spotlight, Glory of the Giants has the right monsters for the job. These monsters have it all, from intriguing lore and personalities to deadly and exciting gameplay stats and fantastic illustrations to bring them to life.

Combat-wise, the grinning cat monster in Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants is a decent challenge for a low-level party in any campaign. These large animals can ambush the party with their invisible bodies, and they can even teleport as a bonus action and resist magic to keep the party on their toes. They rely on trickery, not brute force, to terrorize low-level parties. ff782bc1db
