This February, Sandscript, MRHS's creative writing club, unveiled a captivating collection of works celebrating both love and Black history. As the shortest month of the year, February may fly by, but Sandscript ensures it leaves a lasting impression through poetry and prose that uplift, inspire, and spark reflection.
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, Sandscript features heartfelt love poetry that captures the many shades of affection—romantic, platonic, and self-love. Students poured their emotions into verse, weaving stories of joy, heartbreak, and everything in between. Each poem offers a glimpse into the heart of its creator, making this release a beautiful display of the universal power of love.
February also marks Black History Month, and we are proudly highlighting works honoring Black voices, resilience, and achievements. Students crafted stories, poems, and reflections that pay tribute to Black history, culture, and the ongoing fight for justice and equality, all of which will be on display in the halls.
With its latest release, Sandscript continues to showcase the creativity and passion of MRHS students, proving that words can move hearts and minds.
Be sure to check out the latest edition and experience the love, the history, and the artistry for yourself.
