The Story/MusicThe classic tale of Beauty & The Beast centers on Belle, a book-loving girl from a French village, and her evolving relationship with a cursed prince known as the Beast. Their connection grows beyond appearances, culminating in a climactic moment where love breaks the curse, restoring humanity to the castle's inhabitants. The musical featured iconic songs, including Beauty & The Beast, Belle, Gaston, Be Our Guest, and If I Can't Love Her. Both solo and ensemble performances demonstrated vocal excellence, with several cast members delivering standout moments. The PerformancesAlexis Arruda, portraying Belle, and Faye Viprino, performing as the Beast, delivered captivating lead performances. Arruda showcased an impressive vocal range, while Viprino brought depth and command to the Beast’s character, achieving a level of nuance beyond expectations. Ben McGrath embodied Gaston with charisma and stage presence, supported by Boden Mabile as the lively and comedic Lefou. Their on-stage chemistry provided both humor and energy, enhancing the production’s vibrancy. The supporting cast, including Connor Francis (Cogsworth), Welly Holmes (Lumiere), Emory Hines (Babette), Chloe Thompson (Mrs. Potts), Dante Rossetti (Chip), and Leyla Holmes (Madame de la Grande Bouche), delivered strong group and solo performances. Holmes’ portrayal of Lumiere, complete with a vibrant French accent, and Thompson’s moving rendition of the title song were particularly notable.
