In just under a month, MRHS will hold its spring theatrical performance, and this year, they are putting on Mamma Mia!.
The beloved jukebox musical, with a book by Catherine Johnson and music by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA, brings audiences to a sun-kissed Greek island where love, laughter, and iconic hits collide. The show follows Sophie Sheridan, a young bride-to-be, who secretly invites three men from her mother Donna’s past to her wedding, hoping to discover which one is her father. As the big day approaches, chaos ensues, emotions run high, and the timeless music of ABBA—from Dancing Queen to Voulez-Vous—fills the air.
Mamma Mia! joyfully explores themes of family, friendship, and self-discovery, all wrapped in a glittering package of feel-good nostalgia. The MRHS Theatre Company is ready to light up the stage with dazzling performances, infectious energy, and plenty of platform shoes. It’s a show guaranteed to have audiences singing along, dancing in their seats, and smiling from ear to ear.
Catch them on March 11th, 13th, 14th, and 15th (Saturday has two shows: a matinee at 2 pm and regular), all at 7 pm sharp in the MRHS auditorium. Go out, support the arts, support these kids, and get ready to say Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! more!
