What's A Good Place For A First Date? When going on a first date, you want to pick a casual activity that will allow the two of you to talk and get to know each other better. People usually like to go to the movies for a first date, however, this isn’t a good idea since you can’t get to know each other through watching movies; you won’t be talking. What I suggest for a first date is to go somewhere casual to eat, probably either lunch or dinner, and don’t go anywhere too fancy. Some on-Cape places I would suggest are Jason’s Tavern, The Lanyard, Brax, and other laid-back places like those. Also, having another activity to do either before or after eating out is always good. Something fun like getting ice cream, bowling, going to an arcade, going for a walk, playing a game, etc.
How Do You Balance Honors Classes, Extracurriculars, Friends/Family, & STILL Have Time For Yourself?Balancing all of this can certainly be difficult. My best advice would be to prioritize tasks and create a schedule for yourself. Time management is key to staying up to date on all of your work. The less you have to make up the more time you have to spend time with your friends and family. Getting caught up on things you’ve missed is something you should talk to your teachers about. Setting up time, either before or after school or during Jawsome, will help you get all of it done efficiently.
How Can I Be Motivated To Complete Work? One of the best ways to motivate yourself to do your work is by setting goals for yourself. Breaking your work up into smaller tasks is a lot less stressful than trying to get everything done at once. Struggling with procrastination myself, I always found it easier to attempt to get assignments done little by little. Also, keep in mind the consequences you’ll have to face if you keep pushing it aside. Rushing to do work at the last minute is very stressful and you’ll end up regretting not getting it done sooner, so just try to remind yourself of this.
How Should I Prepare For Massive Tests (Like Midterms, Finals, etc.)?This answer is going to be similar to one of my previous answers, but setting goals for yourself is always a great way to become more productive. If you have goals for how much work/studying you’re going to do each day, it makes it a lot easier to balance everything. To study for your midterms, I would just do it little by little, rather than waiting until the night before. Review your material from each class and set goals for how much time you want to study for each day.
The Voices Won't Stop! The Elves Won't Leave Me Alone! Any Advice On How To Get Rid Of Them?First, what you need to do is cover every surface in your house in flour. The next step is to take 3 melatonin (10 mg) and sleep for eight hours. When you wake up, you’ll be able to see their footprints in the flour. Follow the footprints and hunt them down. Good luck.
Best Times To Go To Guidance? The guidance office is almost always available to help you with anything you need. If you have something specific you’d like to meet up and talk about, emailing your guidance counselor is always a good way of finding time they’re available to talk. Other options are just going in whenever you’re free. Jawsome may be a good time to meet with your guidance counselor, and even if your counselor isn’t available at that moment, any other guidance counselor would be happy to help you.
Scholarships & Leaving Siblings Behind For College?Being a senior, I’m currently dealing with these things myself. Scholarships are hard to get around to. They take a long time and they require a lot of effort, but doing them is important if paying for college may be difficult for you. Start by researching scholarships that interest you and make a list of the ones you plan to apply to. You don’t have to do them all at once, so just try to do a little bit each day. But make sure to pay attention to deadlines. If you need assistance, guidance can help you. In terms of leaving siblings behind for college, I honestly don’t know what I can say. This is something I’ll have to be doing this year, and since I haven’t actually experienced it yet, I don’t know what it’s going to be like.
