1. Introduction Monkio ("we," "us," or "the Developer") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect and use your information to provide our VR experience on the Meta Quest platform.
2. Data Collection & Usage We collect only the minimum data required to operate the game and maintain a safe environment:
Hardware ID: A unique device identifier used via PlayFab to create your game account and manage logins.
IP Address: Used for server connectivity and to enforce moderation actions, such as IP bans for rule-breaking behavior.
User Age Category: We utilize the Meta "User Age Category" API. This tells us if a user is a Child (10-12), Teen (13-17), or Adult. We do not store your birthday; we only receive this category to apply safety protections.
3. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance) Monkio is a "Mixed Ages" app. In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we provide extra protections for players ages 10-12:
Microphone Safety: If the Meta API identifies a user as a Child or Teen, the microphone (Photon Voice) is automatically disabled to prevent unauthorized voice communication.
No Third-Party Advertising: We do not serve ads to children or share their personal data with marketing companies.
