The Monkey

So I put a lot of Work in a 3D Monkey Model


So in my concept for this little puzzle game, monkeys have become a central point. So I decided pretty quickly I wanted to 3D model, rig and animate a Monkey to use all around my level.


Not only could I have monkeys running everywhere, I could use the model to put in monkey statues in the city's architecture.

Here it is. It still has a few flaws, but I am real happy with it nonetheless!

The only thing is that.. it took quite some time. Time I could possibly have been putting to better use by.. actually building the level itself.

It was really enjoyable though, and I learned some new 3D tricks! :D


It is real easy for me though to keep going with a model like this. I could go make a bunch of polished animations (in fact, I was already gathering reference), but it's not smart to do that now. So I'm seizing work on the Monkey for a while, focusing on the level itself again.


(lol I even tried to sculpt some UVs, but that's obviously way too much work. I should take more breaks xD)
