# Monke Mine Tycoon Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 28, 2026
Last Updated: September 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MonkeCo ("we", "us", or "our") collects, processes, uses, stores, and shares information when you play Monke Mine Tycoon on Meta Quest and use its related online services (together, "Monke Mine Tycoon" or "the game").
This Privacy Policy applies only to Monke Mine Tycoon and its related game services.
## 1. Information We Collect and Process
Monke Mine Tycoon is an online multiplayer game. To provide sign-in, multiplayer, voice chat, saved progress, purchases, moderation, and security, we process the information described below.
### 1.1 Meta User ID and Username
We receive the Meta user ID associated with your Meta account for this app, and your Meta username (alias).
We use your Meta user ID to:
- Identify your Monke Mine Tycoon account
- Sign you in to our backend
- Link your Meta account to your game account and saved progress
- Verify account-related requests
- Provide multiplayer features
- Prevent abuse and unauthorized access
We use your Meta username as your in-game display name. Your display name is visible to other players (for example above your avatar, on in-game player lists, on leaderboards, and on your base's sign). Names are filtered and cannot be changed or typed in the game.
We never receive or ask for your Meta account password.
### 1.2 Meta User Proof
The game uses Meta's User Proof (a one-time proof of identity) to verify that sign-in requests to our backend really come from a signed-in Meta user. Our backend sends this proof to Meta to verify it. User Proof is used only for authentication and is not used for advertising or tracking.
### 1.3 Meta Entitlement Information
When the game starts, it checks with Meta that you are entitled to use Monke Mine Tycoon (for example, that it was obtained from the Meta Horizon Store). We use the result only to confirm access and prevent unauthorized copies of the game.
### 1.4 Device Integrity (Attestation) Information
When you sign in, the game uses Meta's device and application integrity (attestation) service. Meta returns information such as whether the app is a genuine store copy, whether the device passed Meta's integrity checks, and an app-specific device identifier provided by Meta.
We use this information to:
- Block modified or unofficial copies of the game
- Detect cheating and tampering
- Enforce bans, including bans that apply to a specific headset so that a banned player cannot simply create a new account
### 1.5 Game Account and Progress Data (Microsoft PlayFab)
We use Microsoft PlayFab to store your game account and progress. This includes:
- A PlayFab player ID linked to your Meta user ID
- Your display name
- Game progress (for example cash, placed items and base layouts, rebirths, research, level and experience, quests, streaks, daily rewards, and chests)
- Inventory, cosmetics you own, and in-game currency (Bananas) balances
- Player statistics and leaderboard scores
- Settings needed by the game
- Account status, staff badges, moderation records, and bans
- Anti-cheat records (for example, save data the server rejected or corrected)
- Records of the game version and sign-in method used
PlayFab also stores player reports (see Section 1.10).
### 1.6 Multiplayer Data (Photon)
We use Photon, provided by Exit Games, for multiplayer networking. When you play, Photon processes:
- Your PlayFab player ID (used as your multiplayer user ID) and a sign-in token issued by our backend, so that only signed-in players can join
- Room codes and lobby information
- Your display name, avatar appearance, and equipped cosmetics
- Your head and hand positions and movements, and your in-game actions, so other players can see you
- Other gameplay data sent between players in the same room
This data is used to create and run multiplayer rooms, match you with other players, show you to other players, and keep the game in sync. Photon processes it only while you are in a session; we do not keep a record of your movements.
### 1.7 Voice Chat
Monke Mine Tycoon has live voice chat with other players in your room. When voice chat is active, the game uses your headset microphone and sends your voice through Photon's voice service to the other players in your room in real time.
- We do not record, store, or listen to voice chat.
- You can mute any player from the in-game player list and turn voice volume down in the settings.
- The microphone is used only for voice chat.
### 1.8 Online Status Information (our backend)
While you are signed in, the game regularly tells our backend that you are online, including your PlayFab player ID, display name, game version, room code, Photon region, and the number of players in your room. This lets us see who is online, send you messages from moderators or about maintenance, require game updates, place players in the same rooms, and enforce bans. The live list of who is online is kept in memory only while you are online. Our backend also logs sign-ins (including refused sign-ins and the reason), when you come online and go offline, room changes, and moderator messages delivered to your game, with the time, for a limited period (see Section 5).
We also keep a list of players who have signed in (PlayFab player ID, display name, Meta user ID, device identifier from Section 1.4, game version, sign-in type, first and last sign-in time, and the IP addresses and country of the last few sign-ins) so that moderators can find accounts, enforce rules, and detect ban evasion. Moderators can see which accounts have signed in from the same IP address.
### 1.9 IP Address and Network Information
When your game connects to our backend and our service providers, they receive your IP address and connection information. Our backend is protected by Cloudflare, which also processes this information to route traffic and block attacks.
We use this information for security, rate limiting, preventing abuse, cheating, and fraud, investigating malicious activity, and troubleshooting connection problems. We do not use IP addresses to find your precise location; we only record the country that Cloudflare detects for a connection.
### 1.10 Player Reports and Moderation
If you report another player in the game, we record the reported player, your player ID, the reason you selected, the room, and the time. If another player reports you, the same information is stored on your account. Moderators use reports, account information, and moderation history to investigate and enforce the rules. Moderation actions (for example warnings, kicks, and bans) and the ban reason and end time are recorded.
### 1.11 In-App Purchases
The game offers optional in-app purchases, which are processed by Meta. To deliver and verify a purchase, our backend receives information from Meta such as the product ID (SKU), purchase ID, and purchase status. We use it to verify purchases, grant and restore what you bought, and prevent fraud.
We never receive your full card number, bank details, or other payment credentials. Payment is handled entirely by Meta.
### 1.12 Recording and Streaming Camera (LIV)
The game includes an optional in-game camera, powered by the LIV Creator Kit (LCK) from LIV, which you can use to take photos, record video, or livestream your gameplay. Recordings are saved on your headset. If you choose to livestream, video and audio (which can include your voice and other players in view) are sent to the streaming service you pick. LIV may process technical and usage information about the camera feature under its own privacy policy. The camera does nothing unless you turn it on.
### 1.13 Device and Technical Information
We and our service providers may process technical information such as headset model, operating system and runtime version, game version, error and crash information, and performance and network diagnostics. We use it to run the game, fix bugs and crashes, and keep the game secure.
## 2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- **Provide the game:** sign you in, save and load your progress, run multiplayer rooms, voice chat, leaderboards, and other features.
- **Authenticate you:** Meta user ID, User Proof, attestation, and backend-issued tokens verify that you are a real, authorized player on a genuine copy of the game.
- **Deliver purchases:** verify Meta purchases and grant what you bought.
- **Keep the game fair and safe:** detect cheating, tampering, bots, and abuse; handle player reports; warn, kick, and ban players; and prevent banned players from coming back.
- **Operate the service:** show who is online, send moderator and maintenance messages, require updates, and fill rooms with players.
- **Fix problems:** investigate crashes, errors, and connection issues.
- **Follow the law:** comply with applicable laws and valid legal requests.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell it.
## 3. Service Providers
We use these providers to run the game. Each processes information only as needed to provide its service to us, and some also process information under their own privacy policies:
- **Meta:** the Meta Quest platform, accounts, User Proof, entitlement checks, attestation, and in-app purchases
- **Microsoft PlayFab:** player accounts, saved game data, leaderboards, and moderation records
- **Exit Games (Photon):** multiplayer networking and voice chat
- **Unity Technologies:** the game engine, which may send anonymous engine crash and diagnostic information to Unity
- **Cloudflare:** secure connection to and protection of our backend
- **LIV:** the optional recording and streaming camera
- **Hosting providers:** the servers that run our sign-in backend
## 4. How Information Is Shared
We share information with the service providers listed above, only as needed to run the game.
Other players can see your display name, staff badge (if any), avatar and cosmetics, your base and its progress, leaderboard scores, your voice when voice chat is on, and your movements and actions in the room.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with the law or valid legal requests; to protect the rights, safety, or property of players, MonkeCo, or others; to investigate fraud, cheating, abuse, or security incidents; or to enforce our rules.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Meta user IDs, User Proof, or sign-in tokens for advertising.
## 5. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this policy:
- Game progress, inventory, and purchases: while your account exists
- Online status: only while you are online (sign-in and session history is kept in the server logs below)
- Player list, moderation records, bans, reports, and anti-cheat records: as long as needed to enforce the rules and prevent repeat abuse
- Server logs: a limited period (logs are rotated and the oldest entries deleted), for troubleshooting and security
Information may remain in backups for a limited time before it is overwritten or deleted.
## 6. Deleting Your Data
You can ask us to delete your Monke Mine Tycoon account and its data by emailing **Privacy@Mandihq.com**. Include your in-game display name (your Meta username) so we can find your account. Please do not send passwords or payment information.
After we verify the request, we will delete or anonymize the information we control, and ask our service providers to delete information they hold for us, within a reasonable time (normally within 30 days). Deleting your account permanently removes your progress and purchases in the game.
We may keep limited information where necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud and cheating prevention, or enforcing bans. For example, we may keep a record that an account or headset was banned so a ban cannot be avoided by deleting the account.
Deleting your game data does not delete information that Meta or other providers keep under their own policies.
## 7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our backend, signed and expiring sign-in tokens, server-side checks of all progress and purchases, and restricted access to moderation tools. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
## 8. Children's Privacy
Monke Mine Tycoon is not directed to children under the minimum age required to use Meta Quest and Meta accounts in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has given us personal information in violation of the law, contact us at the email below and we will delete it.
## 9. International Processing
Our service providers may process information on servers in countries other than yours, including the United States. By using the game, your information may be processed in those countries.
## 10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email Privacy@Mandihq.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
## 11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the game, its features, or our providers change. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. The current version is always available at the privacy policy link on the game's store page.
