This Privacy Policy explains how Monkeleros by seffyweffy2 ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you play our virtual reality game, Monkeleros ("the Game"), available on Meta Quest platforms.
By downloading, installing, or playing Monkeleros, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Monkeleros is designed to collect only the minimum amount of data required to provide a functional multiplayer experience, save progress, and maintain game stability.
Meta Account / Device Identifiers: Meta provides unique, anonymized player IDs (Oculus User ID) to manage your identity in-game.
Device & Performance Logs: Basic system details such as hardware type (e.g., Meta Quest 2/3/Pro), framerate, and crash logs generated via Unity engine tools.
To connect you to multiplayer rooms and sync movements, physics, and cosmetic items, we use Photon PUN 2 (Exit Games / Photon Engine).
IP Address: Processed temporarily by Photon servers to route real-time multiplayer traffic and maintain connections.
Session Data: Temporary room joining info, actor numbers, and network player positions.
To save your player progress, currency, cosmetic inventory, and account attributes, we use Microsoft PlayFab.
PlayFab ID: A unique internal alphanumeric identifier assigned to your account.
Player Statistics & Currency: In-game items, stats, ban status, and currency balances.
If voice chat is enabled, spatial audio stream data is transmitted peer-to-peer or via relay servers to allow real-time communication with other players. Voice audio is generally not recorded or stored on our backend servers.
We use the collected information solely for the following operational purposes:
To enable multiplayer networking: Synchronizing movement, room matchmaking, and player interactions.
To save game progress: Keeping track of inventory, cosmetics, and user statistics across play sessions.
To enforce fair play and moderation: Applying temporary or permanent bans via PlayFab to users who violate game rules or community guidelines.
To debug and fix bugs: Analyzing crash logs to improve game performance on Meta Quest hardware.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties, nor do we use your data for advertising or tracking.
Monkeleros integrates third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) to power backend operations and networking. These providers may process data according to their own privacy policies:
Meta Platform Services: Used for VR hardware interaction and Oculus user authentication.
Photon Engine (PUN 2): Used for real-time multiplayer matchmaking and networking.
Microsoft PlayFab: Used for backend player account profiles, inventory, and ban management.
Unity Technologies: Used as the core game development engine.
Monkeleros is designed for users operating Meta Quest devices, subject to Meta’s account age requirements (ages 10+ with Parent Managed Accounts, or 13+ depending on regional law).
We do not knowingly collect personal information (such as real names, home addresses, or phone numbers) from children under the age of 13 without appropriate parent/guardian consent facilitated via the Meta Quest ecosystem.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under applicable limits without legal consent, please request your data deletion on the next page of our site, and we will delete the data immediately via Microsoft PlayFab.
Retention: We retain player data linked to your PlayFab account for as long as you play Monkeleros or as needed to maintain moderation logs (e.g., active bans).
Data Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of your PlayFab account data, inventory, and player profile. To request deletion, please contact us at our data deletion on the next page of our site with your in-game username or PlayFab ID.
