Moniq is a financial toolkit app for travelers that provides currency conversion, tip calculation, and trip expense tracking. Your privacy is important to us.
Data Collection
Moniq does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
All your data (favorite currencies, trips, expenses, settings) is stored locally on your device only using AsyncStorage.
Network Requests
The app makes network requests only to:
- Frankfurter API (api.frankfurter.app) - to fetch current currency exchange rates
No personal information is sent with these requests.
Data Storage
All app data is stored locally on your device:
- Favorite currencies
- Trip information and expenses
- App preferences (theme, haptic settings)
This data is never uploaded to any server or shared with third parties.
Third-Party Services
- Frankfurter API - Open-source exchange rate API. See their privacy policy at https://www.frankfurter.app
Permissions
Moniq may request the following permissions:
- Internet access - Required to fetch exchange rates
- Haptic feedback - For tactile feedback on button presses (optional, can be disabled in settings)
Children's Privacy
Moniq does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
