The MonFlow team ("we", "our", "us") operates the MonFlow mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Application and the choices you have associated with that data.

We prioritize your privacy. MonFlow is built as an **offline-first application**. Your financial data is your business, and it stays on your device.

Information Collection and Use

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal or financial data to any external servers.

Types of Data Processed on Your Device:

*   **Financial Records:** All transactions, categories, payment methods, and planned payments are stored locally on your device in a private, sandboxed SQLite database.

*   **Voice Inputs:** When you use the Voice Entry feature, audio data is transiently processed on your device using Android/iOS built-in speech-to-text engines to parse your transactions. We do not record, save, or upload your voice data.

*   **Backup Files:** When you create a backup, a JSON file is generated locally in your app’s private documents folder. If you choose to export or share this backup (e.g., to Google Drive or Email), the transmission of that file is handled securely by your OS and chosen external provider.

Device Permissions Required

To provide its core features, MonFlow requires access to certain device capabilities. These permissions are requested at runtime only when needed:

*   **Notifications & Alarms (`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`, `SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM`):** Used strictly to send local reminders for planned payments, upcoming bills, and budget warnings. These alarms are computed entirely on-device; no push notifications from remote servers are used.

*   **Microphone (`RECORD_AUDIO`):** Used strictly to capture transient audio signals for the Voice Entry feature.

*   **Storage Access:** Used solely to allow you to select and restore a `.json` backup file from your local file system.

Data Security

The security of your data is extremely important to us. Because all data is stored locally, your data security relies on:

1.  The physical security of your mobile device.

2.  Your operating system's application sand-boxing, which prevents other apps from accessing MonFlow's private database.

We highly recommend protecting your device with a secure PIN, Password, or Biometric Lock.

Third-Party Services

We do not integrate any third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or AdMob). Your usage of the app is completely anonymous.

Children's Privacy

Our Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. Because we do not collect any personal data, we do not knowingly process personal data from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the Application or updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
