Money Tracker Privacy Policy

Money Tracker is a personal-finance app. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information.

SUMMARY

Money Tracker is designed to keep financial records on your device. We do not operate an account system, an app-owned cloud backend, advertising, or behavioral analytics.

FINANCIAL DATA

Money Tracker lets you create and manage financial information such as entries, amounts, dates, categories, notes, recurring rules, search queries, and import/export data.

This information is stored locally on your device. Money Tracker does not send this financial information to our servers because we do not operate servers that receive or store it.

You can edit or delete entries, categories, recurring rules, and other app data within the app.

VOICE ENTRY

If your device supports Voice Entry and you choose to use it, Money Tracker requests microphone permission only when you start that feature.

Voice audio, transcripts, prompts, and parsed entry details are processed on your device using Google ML Kit GenAI and Gemini Nano. Money Tracker does not send this voice content to an app-owned server, and Google’s ML Kit GenAI APIs do not send the voice content, transcript, prompt, or generated result to Google servers for model processing.

ML Kit may send limited technical and usage telemetry to Google, including device and app information, configured language, installation-related identifiers, and performance metrics. Google uses this information for functions such as remote configuration, diagnostics, performance measurement, maintenance, and abuse detection. It does not include your financial entries or Voice Entry content.

IMPORT, EXPORT, AND SHARING

When you import a CSV or JSON file, Money Tracker reads the file you select to preview and add entries only after your confirmation.

When you export data, Money Tracker creates the selected file on your device and uses Android’s system share or save flow. The file is shared only with the app, service, or location that you choose. You are responsible for reviewing the privacy practices of any destination you select.

ANDROID AUTO BACKUP

Money Tracker enables Android Auto Backup. Depending on your device settings and Google account configuration, Android may back up app data and restore it when you set up a replacement or reset device.

Backup is managed by Android and Google, not by Money Tracker. We cannot determine whether backup is enabled, whether a backup completed successfully, which account is used, or when a backup is deleted. You can manage Android backup through your device settings.

NOTIFICATIONS

Money Tracker may request notification permission when you enable recurring-entry alerts or daily reminders. Notifications are used only to provide the alerts and reminders you choose. You can disable them in MoneyTracker or your device settings.

INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

Money Tracker does not collect or use your financial data for advertising, profiling, behavioral analytics, sale, or sharing with third parties.

We do not create user accounts or collect a Money Tracker user identifier, email address, phone number, precise location, advertising ID, or payment information.

SECURITY AND RETENTION

Your financial information remains on your device unless you export it, share it, or Android backs it up under your device settings. You can remove local app data through the app’s deletion controls or by uninstalling the app.

Deleting or uninstalling the app may not immediately remove copies retained by a system-managed Android backup or by an export destination you selected.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy when Money Tracker’s data practices change. We will update the effective date when we do.
