MoneySaver: Terms & Conditions 

The following Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and Subscription Terms apply to the MoneySaver app (hereby also referred to as "App") for mobile devices that was created by Alan Franceschini (hereby also referred to as “We” or “Us”). This service is intended for use "AS IS".

By using the MoneySaver app you agree to all terms and conditions provided below.

Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and Subscription Terms may change in the future so make sure to check this page at each app update, since continued use of MoneySaver is deemed approval of all changes.

Our MoneySaver app is a new iOS application and as such it may contain bugs, therefore we cannot guarantee that it will function in all circumstances. However if you do experience a bug please send us an email at contactus.moneysaver.app@gmail.com and we will look into it.

By choosing to use the speech-to-transaction or receipt-scanning features, you acknowledge and consent to your data being transmitted to and processed by third-party AI service providers, including Apple and DeepSeek, as described in our Privacy Policy. These providers act as independent data controllers and apply their own privacy policies and data retention practices, which are outside our control. You may decline this processing at any time by not using these optional features and entering transactions manually instead.

The speech-to-transaction and receipt-scanning features rely on third-party artificial intelligence services to extract transaction details from audio recordings and receipt images. These features may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrect results. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any transaction generated by these features before saving it. MoneySaver makes no warranty as to the accuracy of AI-generated output and is not liable for any consequences arising from reliance on it.

MoneySaver is a personal expense tracking tool. It does not provide financial, accounting, tax, investment, or legal advice, and it is not a regulated financial service. Any information displayed in the app, including categorisations, summaries, or totals, is for informational purposes only. You should consult a qualified professional before making any financial decision based on data tracked in the app.

MoneySaver - Privacy Policy

What information does MoneySaver collect and how is it used?

MoneySaver does not collect or store personal data when you download and use it. Registration is not required to use the Application.

We do not store or retain any personal data.

Does MoneySaver collect precise real time location information of the device?

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by MoneySaver?

MoneySaver offers premium optional features that allow users to generate transactions from receipt images and voice recordings. These features are activated only when you explicitly choose to use them.

When you use the speech-to-transaction feature, audio recorded on your device is processed by Apple's speech recognition service to convert it into text. The resulting text as well as your current spending and income categories' names are then sent to DeepSeek to extract structured transaction details.

When you use the receipt-scanning feature, the receipt image is processed by Apple's on-device text recognition (OCR) to extract text. The resulting text as well as your current spending and income categories' names are then sent to DeepSeek to extract transaction details.

We do not store or retain any data transmitted to Apple or DeepSeek through these features. All such data is handled transiently for the sole purpose of returning a parsed transaction to your device.

Apple and DeepSeek act as independent data controllers for the data they receive, and they process it according to their own privacy policies. We do not control how they retain or use this data.

Apple and DeepSeek may process your data on servers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). DeepSeek's servers are located in the People's Republic of China, which is not recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection. This means that your data may be subject to access by public authorities under local laws, and that the level of data protection and enforceable rights available to you may differ from those in your country of residence.

We rely on your consent  — given by choosing to use these features — as the legal basis for these international data transfers and related processing by third parties under their own privacy practices. If you do not agree to this, you can avoid using these features and instead enter transactions manually, in which case no data is transmitted to third parties.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by discontinuing use of these features. Outside of the specific features described above, MoneySaver does not share, transmit, or disclose any personal data to third parties.

What rights do I have over my data?

Your rights depending on your location:

• EU/EEA/UK users (GDPR/UK GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

• California users (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell your personal data.

• Regardless of location, you may avoid all third-party processing by using the app's free manual entry option.

To exercise rights regarding data held by these providers, contact them directly: privacy@deepseek.com for DeepSeek, and Apple via apple.com/privacy/contact. As we do not retain any data submitted through these features, we cannot fulfill access or deletion requests on their behalf. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies carefully before using these features.

Where is my MoneySaver data stored?

Data in the MoneySaver app is private and stored only on your device. We do not store or retain any personal data.

If you choose to generate a backup of your data via the "Settings" menu of the app, this will also be stored only locally wherever you choose to do so and will not be collected nor processed by us.

If you use the speech-to-transaction or receipt-scanning features, your data will be transmitted to and processed by Apple and DeepSeek as described above. We do not store this data on our end. However, Apple and DeepSeek may retain submitted inputs on their own servers in accordance with their own privacy policies. DeepSeek has indicated it may use inputs to improve its models and does not publish a fixed deletion timeline. We encourage you to review DeepSeek's privacy policy at deepseek.com and Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/privacy for the most current information on how they handle submitted data.

If you are concerned about your transaction data being processed by a third-party AI, you can avoid using these features and enter transactions manually.

Future Updates

If due to any future update we make changes to our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy we will promptly post them here and mark them as such to make them easily identifiable for you.

In case of a total or partial acquisition of MoneySaver we will notify you here as described above.

MoneySaver - Terms of Use

MoneySaver (“App”) is distributed by Alan Franceschini (“We”, “Us”)  under Apple's standard software license for iOS apps - the App Store Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA); you can read its full version here.

Below you can find a brief summary of its key points, however we recommend reading the full version:

• License Scope: Apps are licensed, not sold, granting users a non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices they own or control.

• Termination: The license is effective until terminated by the user or licensor; rights under this license will terminate automatically if the user fails to comply with any terms.

• External Services: if you link our App to external services and websites, use of these services is at the user's sole risk, and the licensor is not responsible for third-party content.

• Warranty Disclaimer: The licensed application and any services provided are offered "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

• Limitation of Liability: Licensor is not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the licensed application.

• Legal Compliance: Users must comply with applicable laws regarding the use of the licensed application.

• Governing Law (U.S. Citizens/Residents): For U.S. users, the agreement is governed by California law (excluding conflict of law provisions), and disputes must be resolved in courts located in Santa Clara County, California. The United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods does not apply to this agreement.

• Governing Law (Non-U.S. Citizens/Residents): For users who are not U.S. citizens, do not reside in the U.S., and access the service outside the U.S., disputes are governed by the law of their usual place of residence if they are citizens of an EU country, Switzerland, Norway, or Iceland. The United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods does not apply to this agreement.

MoneySaver Subscription Terms

Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase.

The subscription will automatically renew.

Your Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours before the current period ends.

You can manage subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your iTunes Account Settings.
