Investment Data: Information about your investments, including stock symbols, number of shares, and purchase price.
Financial Health Information: Your answers to the financial health questionnaire, which may include details about your age, savings habits, credit score, and financial outlook.
B. Information Collected to Power Features
Device Language: We check your device's language setting to display the application in your preferred language (English or Spanish).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information stored within the application for the following purposes:
To Provide and Personalize Your Experience: To create your profile, track your savings and investments, and display your financial overview.
To Offer Financial Coaching: We analyze your savings and investment data to determine your financial "Journey Stage" and provide personalized coaching tips.
To Calculate Your Financial Health Score: Your answers to the questionnaire are used to generate a financial wellness score and offer insights.
To Fetch Real-Time Stock Data: The stock symbols for your investments are used to retrieve live stock prices and company information from third-party services.
4. Information Sharing with Third Parties
Your personal financial data is not shared from your device. However, to provide certain features, we must communicate with third-party services. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties.
Stock Market Data Provider (Finnhub API): To provide real-time stock prices and company search functionality, the application sends the stock symbols or company names you enter to the Finnhub API. No personal information like your name or full portfolio details is sent.
Font Provider (Google Fonts): The application uses the Nunito font family provided by Google Fonts to ensure a consistent visual experience.
5. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage: All your personal and financial data is stored exclusively on your device in a private, sandboxed location using Android's SharedPreferences. Your data is not transmitted to or stored on any external servers.
Multi-Profile Isolation: If you create multiple profiles, the data for each profile is stored separately and is not shared between profiles.
Security: We take reasonable measures to help protect your information within the application's local storage. However, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
6. Your Rights and Control Over Your Data
Access and Edit Your Data
You can view, edit, and update your profile name, savings goals, and investment information at any time directly from within the application.
Delete Your Data
You can delete any profile on your device. Deleting a profile permanently removes all associated data from your device's storage. This action cannot be undone.
7. Children's Privacy
MoneyDaddy is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with information without their consent, they should delete the corresponding profile from within the app.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the application. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
