Building for a
Better Tomorrow
Better Tomorrow
I’m Monekia Kea, and I’m running for City Council, Place 3 because I believe Hutto deserves strong leadership and a future that works for all of us. My family and I chose Hutto for its small-town charm, and after nearly two years here, I’m ready to fight for a Hutto that reflects our values and works for everyone.
As the first HOA President of Durango Farms, I’ve led efforts to hold developers accountable, fix broken systems, and protect our community. I don’t make promises—I make things happen. As a mother of four, I understand the importance of building a safe, inclusive, and thriving community where families can grow and succeed. That’s the leadership I’ll bring to City Council.
I didn’t seek a political career, but when our community needed someone to step up, I answered the call. My experience comes from advocating for my neighbors, not from a political office. I’ve fought for what’s right, and now, I’m ready to fight for all of Hutto.
If you want a leader who listens, takes action, and puts families first, I ask for your vote. Together, we can make Hutto stronger, safer, and more vibrant for everyone
Holding Developers Accountable – I will ensure Hutto’s growth benefits families first. Will hold developers to their promises and ensure growth is responsible and sustainable.
Smart Use of City Funds – I’ll manage our budget responsibly, improving streets, parks, and public services—without raising taxes on families.
Improving Our City – I’m committed to making Hutto a better place to live by upgrading infrastructure, and creating a welcoming, safe community for everyone.
Prioritizing Public Safety – Safety will always be my top priority. I will fully support our police, fire, and emergency services to keep Hutto a safe place to raise our children.
Building an Inclusive Community – Every family in Hutto deserves to be heard, valued, and respected. I’ll work to ensure that Hutto is a place where all residents can thrive.
