Welcome to Mondo's Restaurant, a beloved gem in Shenandoah, Iowa, owned by the passionate David Hughes. In 1975, he opened  the first Mondo's to create a welcoming place where the community could enjoy high-quality, home cooked style food. His commitment to excellence is evident in every dish. David is also a dedicated member of the Shenandoah community, actively engaged with his other businesses, Sports Plex, and his family farm. 

His warm and personable nature has fostered a loyal following among staff and patrons. When he's not in the kitchen, David enjoys being with his family and friends. When he's not running after his grandchildren, you will find him on the pickleball court.
