About Dr. Prasenjit Mondal

Prasenjit Mondal was born and grew up at Nischintapur, Hooghly, WB. He did his B.Sc from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, in 2009 (affiliated under Calcutta University) and received his M.Sc degree from IIT Bombay in 2011. Thereafter, he has pursued his PhD from IIT Bombay in 2016 under the guidance of Prof. G. K. Lahiri on “Electronic structural aspects of ruthenium complexes incorporating redox non-innocent ligands”. Thereafter, he has done few post-doc (2016-2021) from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA; Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and IISER Kolkata. His postdoctoral work was mainly on Bio-inspired Inorganic Chemistry. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at IIT Tirupati. He also worked as an Assistant Professor at Jadavpur University. His area of research interest is "Synthetic inorganic and bio-inspired catalysis including detailed mechanistic study".
