Are you a middle or high school student who wants to make a real impact in your community?
Join Teen Court as a volunteer and help give your peers a second chance.
Teen volunteers are trained to run real-life court hearings for youth referred to the program. You’ll take on important courtroom roles like:
Juror: Listen to the facts and recommend fair consequences
Defense Attorney: Advocate for the youth’s growth and accountability
Prosecutor: Present the facts and suggest appropriate sanctions
Clerk: Keep court organized and professional
You’ll learn public speaking, critical thinking, and leadership — and gain community service hours while you’re at it!

How to lead with empathy and fairness
How to resolve conflicts in positive ways
To become a Teen Court volunteer, you must:
Be between ages 11–18
Be enrolled in middle or high school
Commit to attending a volunteer training
Maintain a respectful and responsible attitude
No experience needed — we’ll train you!
Looks great on college applications
Fulfills community service hours
Makes a real difference for youth just like you
Fun, supportive environment with other students

Whether you're a judge, educator, counselor, or simply someone who cares — there's a place for you here.
Serve as a Judge (Presiding Officer)
Guide courtroom proceedings during Teen Court hearings
Maintain order and ensure due process
Open to: Licensed attorneys, judges, or 3rd year law students
Time commitment: 1 hour (Wednesdays from 4-5pm)
Be a Guest Speaker:
Speak at workshops on topics like:
Conflict resolution
Mental health
Substance prevention
Financial literacy
Career readiness
Help youth connect real-world lessons to their choices
Time commitment: 30–60 min for a workshop, flexible scheduling
Mentorship & Life Skills Support
Serve as a positive adult role model
Help youth complete their sanctions (e.g., job skills, resume help, educational goals)
Provide encouragement and accountability
Time commitment: 1–2 hrs/week (virtual or in-person options available)
Training Support & Volunteer Development
Help lead youth volunteer trainings
Provide feedback and guidance to teen attorneys and jurors
Share your expertise in communication, professionalism, or courtroom skills
Time commitment: 30-60 minutes per training
