10:45 - arrive at The Parker and we'll be escorted to our seats.

12:15 (maybe before) - load buses and depart for Monarch.
12:45 - arrive at Monarch and go through the lunch line. The cafeteria is already expecting us to be late. Return to the Choir Room for social time OR report to your 4th period if needed.
Singing Knights may attend the concert for extra credit.
Wear your Chorus t-shirt for free admission.
Take a 'show selfie' and submit it in the Canvas assignment for extra credit.

Singing Knights (3rd & 7th Periods) - Wear your Chorus t-shirt with a nice pair of jeans (or a nice pair of pants or long skirt). No crocs, sandals, flip flops, slides, or other open-toed shoes.
Chorale - wear your formal concert attire from the airport performance—solid BLACK close-toed shoes.
Student performer call time is 5:00 PM for attendance. We will start warm-ups at 5:15.
House will open for seating at 6:00 PM. $5 admission will be collected by cash or QR.
Concert will begin at 6:30.

Concert will conclude around 7:45 PM.
Final dissmissal will be from the Choir Room!!!! Ask your transportation to be patient, you won't be very long as long as we all get back to the room.
Please recognize that these concerts are required as part of the curriculum for the Singing Knights and the Monarch Chorale. Failure to attend these concerts will result in lowering that quarter's overall grade enough to fail the quarter the unattended concert occurs. Contact Mr. Haynes immediately if there are any conflicts with this year's scheduled concerts.
October 9th, 2025 - Fall Concert - 6:30 PM - Monarch HS Theatre
December 11th, 2025 - Monarch Winter Choir Concert - 6:30 PM - Monarch HS Theatre
March 2nd or 3rd, 2026 - Music Performance Assessment (MPA) - Final date and time TBA in February 2025 - Dillard Center for the Arts - FREE concert - There is a good chance this will take place during school hours and maybe only go a couple hours into the evening.
April 30th, 2025 - Monarch Spring Concert - 6:30 PM - Monarch HS Theatre
Throughout the year, members of both choirs will have opportunities to participate in ensembles and events both locally and around the state. Members of the Singing Knights are heavily encouraged to participate in at least one of the following. Chorale members are expected to participate in as many opportunities as possible. Students registered in an Honors designated course are required to audition for All-State, participate in FAU Honor Choirs, participate in Solo & Ensemble Event, participate in All County Chorus, and perform at the Solo & Ensemble Concert.

Those who participated in the Solo & Ensemble Event for ratings will give an encore performance. There will still be auditions available to fill any remaining performance spots in the show.
Community Ensembles
With all the talented musicians in South Florida, there will be various opportunities for high school students to pursue ensembles sponsored by the communities. These community ensembles provide a great deal of extra support and collaboration with fellow student musicians. As information is released about such ensembles, I will post the information within the classroom and on Remind.
