April 28, 2023: The proposal by Drs. Mona Ghassemi and Rashaunda Henderson to TxACE Collaboration Initiative has been selected for the award ($40,000 for one year)!   

Novel electrical insulation materials and systems will be introduced in this project to address heat transfer issue in 3D heterogeneous microsystems.

Feb. 7, 2019: Mona Ghassemi, Louis Guido, Guo-Quan (G.Q.) Lu, and Khai Ngo received a $3 million Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) project to accelerate the deployment of power electronics into grid-scale energy applications. They will be developing 20 kV gallium nitride devices integrated into a medium-voltage power module.
