Pack 8 - Peterborough
Chartered in 1941, Pack 8 provides an introduction to Scouting starting with the Lions program in Kindergarten and running through the Arrow of Light program in 5th grade. Cub Scouts are grouped into dens by school grade. Classic activities include: Pinewood Derby, Chuckwagon, Klondike Derby, and Cubmobile races. The Pack also participates in various community service projects throughout the year. Pack 8 is a Family Pack, open to boys and girls - one of the first in New Hampshire. Children from throughout the area are welcome to join. The Cubmaster of Pack 8 is Tim Theberge, an Eagle Scout and 3rd generation Scouter.
Troop 8 - Peterborough
Troop 8 provides Scouting to boys and young men from 5th grade through 18 years of age. The Troop is one of the oldest continuously operating Troops in New Hampshire. Since 1936, 51 members of Troop 8 have achieved the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout. Many of the service projects completed by these Eagles still stand today throughout the Monadnock area. The Scouts BSA program builds upon the foundation of Scouting established through Cub Scouts, but a boy can join the Troop whether or not they were ever a Cub. Unlike the adult-led Cub Scout program, Scouts BSA is led by the Scouts themselves. The Scoutmaster of Troop 8 is Toby Gray, an Eagle Scout.
Crew 3165
Venture Crew 3165 is a coed, outdoor, high-adventure group for young adults ages 14-21. The Crew does it all: hiking, camping, SCUBA diving, shooting sports, bouldering, canoeing, surfing, Venturefest, and more. Like Scouts BSA Troops, the Crews are led by the youth members. The Advisor for Venture Crew 3165 is HeatherAnn Labier.
Crew 808
Venture Crew 808 is a unique unit within Scouting and one of the most unique in New Hampshire. Crew 808 is a social/recreational crew for special needs adults. The Advisor for Venture Crew 808 is Mary Primeau.
