Welcome to We Buy Plants! We buy plants from small farms like yours, on behalf of our partnered online stores who sell to their end customers.
Our platform helps support small independent farmsteads across America, new and established alike. If this is your first time being an online supplier, we can help set you up with the right equipment, supplies & software to start selling online.
Our partner farms earn higher profits per square foot of growing space, compared to farmer’s market and commodity prices. It’s easy to get started and you do not need to commit to any large quantities.

Supplier Responsibilities
Supplier is responsible for growing plant cuttings that are able to bear fruit that same year. For example, strawberries bear fruit after 2 years planted from seeds. All strawberries supplied need to be cloned from plants that are at least 2 years old and have beared fruit.
Supplier is responsible for packaging the plant cuttings into mailable boxes and printing delivery labels. Boxes and packaging material can be provided by us at affordable rates (manufacture prices).
Supplier is responsible for bringing weekly orders to a delivery center to be mailed out and paid for.
As quality control can only be done at your production center, suppliers are liable for refunds of defective product. We are incentivized by reputation and good business, to help you to achieve minimal returns rates. Typical return rates are less than 2%.
Supplier is expected to maintain a level of product consistency so that end customers have an easy time growing.
Contract Terms
Supplier receives a pre-made Shopify store with pre-configured agreed upon prices. For every order we place, we pay an upfront fee through your Shopify store. This is money you get immediately. The remainder is paid at end of month, less than net 30 days.
Example (your rates may differ): Our agreed upon price is $9 per bundle of strawberry roots including shipping costs. 50% is paid upfront and the remaining 50% is paid at the end of each month.
Rates are determined on a case-by-case basis to help minimize risk for all parties. Shipping costs depend on your location. We value reliable long term relationships that can scale up.
Supplier handles payment to the shipping company, as is typical of supplier responsibilities.
Supplier has access to have periodic catch-up sessions with their account executive. This is where we can help you improve your operations, save costs, and grow your business.
