Terms of Use for MomSafe: Beauty Scanner

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of MomSafe: Beauty Scanner (“MomSafe”, “the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), developed by ALILOU Digital.
By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Purpose of the App
MomSafe provides educational guidance to help users review skincare, beauty, and personal care product ingredients during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The App may allow users to scan, paste, search, save, and review ingredient lists and ingredient information.
2. No Medical Advice
MomSafe does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, medical recommendations, or professional healthcare services.
The information in the App is for educational and informational purposes only.
Ingredient guidance may vary depending on concentration, product type, usage area, skin condition, pregnancy status, breastfeeding status, medical history, and individual circumstances.
You should always consult a doctor, dermatologist, pharmacist, midwife, or qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about skincare, beauty products, medication, active ingredients, or product use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking medical advice because of information shown in the App.
3. Educational Ingredient Guidance
MomSafe may classify ingredients into categories such as:
- Ingredients commonly recommended to avoid.
- Ingredients to review or use with caution.
- Generally compatible ingredients.
- Known ingredients with no common warning.
- Unknown ingredients.
These categories are educational and are not a guarantee of safety, suitability, or medical approval.
MomSafe does not claim that any product or ingredient is 100% safe or risk-free.
4. User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Reviewing product labels carefully.
- Confirming ingredient lists from official product packaging or manufacturer sources.
- Consulting a qualified healthcare provider when needed.
- Using your own judgment before using any skincare, beauty, or personal care product.
MomSafe may not identify every ingredient, concentration, formulation detail, warning, allergen, or product-specific risk.
5. Scan and OCR Accuracy
If the App includes scanning or OCR features, text recognition may not always be accurate.
You should review and correct extracted text before relying on the analysis.
The App may misread, miss, or incorrectly separate ingredients from product labels, packaging, or images.
6. MomSafe Pro
MomSafe may offer premium features through MomSafe Pro.
MomSafe Pro may include features such as:
- Unlimited ingredient checks.
- Expanded ingredient details.
- Product reports.
- Source summaries.
- Unlimited saved results.
- Access to a larger ingredient database.
- Additional educational guidance.
Available features may change over time.
7. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
MomSafe Pro may be offered through auto-renewable subscriptions and/or lifetime purchase options.
Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.
We do not control Apple’s billing, cancellation, refund, or payment systems.
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
8. Free Checks and Limits
MomSafe may offer a limited number of free ingredient checks.
Free limits may include a monthly number of checks or restrictions on saved results, advanced details, or reports.
We may change free limits or premium features in future updates.
9. Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies.
We cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
If you want to request a refund, use Apple’s refund request process or contact Apple Support.
10. Apple Standard EULA
If a separate custom end user license agreement is not provided, your use of the App is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.

11. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

12. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, branding, text, database structure, educational content, icons, interface, and software, is owned by or licensed to ALILOU Digital and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App or its content except as permitted by law.
13. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for illegal or harmful purposes.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App.
- Attempt to bypass subscription access controls.
- Copy or scrape the ingredient database.
- Misrepresent App results as medical advice.
- Use the App to provide professional healthcare advice without proper qualification.
14. Availability and Changes
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time.
We may update the ingredient database, classifications, educational notes, Pro features, free limits, design, or supported languages.
We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.
We do not guarantee that ingredient information, classifications, OCR results, sources, or guidance will always be complete, accurate, current, or suitable for your individual situation.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ALILOU Digital and its owners, employees, partners, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
This includes, but is not limited to, decisions related to skincare, beauty product use, pregnancy, breastfeeding, medical care, allergic reactions, skin irritation, or reliance on App content.
17. Healthcare Emergencies
MomSafe is not intended for emergencies.
If you have a medical emergency, severe allergic reaction, serious skin reaction, or urgent pregnancy or breastfeeding concern, contact emergency services or a qualified healthcare provider immediately.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate.
Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
