If you're like me and don't always have the luxury of sorting cards when they are brought home from a draft, event, trading with friends, or buying "just one more pack," these stack n safe row box organizers are a game-changer! You can say goodbye to the mess and hello to convenience. I drop the cards into sections based on set, and then I can easily sort cards by color and number whenever I find a spare moment. They have lids as well to offer more protection, while they sit waiting for "spare time" to finally find me.
Another option for sorting and also storage are these boxes with a snap on lid:
The first stop for my cards is to populate the binder collection. I'm seeking 4 of each card, and then 1 of each card's cold foil. I will pull the cards for a specific set from my sorting box, and then will sort into the 6 different colors and then finally, by number. I will pull up my spreadsheet and open up the binder, and see if there are any gaps I can fill with the new cards.

These are great quality stickers for binders, card boxes, and anywhere else you'd like to show off your Lorcana fandom. She also has t-shirts and lots of other goodies. I've purchased many times, and always great customer service.
Once I have a pile left over, I zip up that binder and put it back on the bookshelf. The extra cards... well, let's see if we can make an extra playset.
Extra note, these binders will hold 4 of each card (204x4=816) and then one of each foil (204) for a total of 1020 cards with four spaces left over. I also have made simple place holders that I put into my binder when I have an expensive card that I'm pulling to play with, but that's mostly because I'm just extra.
White box, "bulk"
Black box, "playsets"
So now I have a stack of cards that I do not need for my binder, what I do with them? Well, I personally like to put aside another group of four of each card as an extra playset, so if I do want to play that card I have some that I don't need to pull from my binder.
I pull out my "bulk" bins, which are just three row heavy card sorting boxes with lids, and dive in. Let's say I have an extra Mickey Mouse - Leader of the Band from set 4, Amber #15. In my white "bilk bin" I'll see if I have any of this card in a penny sleeve. Per the image to the left, I do. I also have a penny sleeve with an extra Mickey Mouse - Musketeer Captain, set 4, Amber #16. The difference is, MMMCaptain has a sticker on the outside of the penny sleeve. This is my way of noting to myself that this card does not yet have an extra playset, and thus isn't "bulk" like MMLeader of the Band. This makes it so much easier to sort and put away cards and not have to refer to my spreadsheets for every single card.
I would then put the extra MMLeader of the Bands into the penny sleeve with the others, while if I had an extra MMMCaptain I would check to see how many I needed to make a playset. If there are 3 in the penny sleeve with the sticker and I have 2 more, I would now have a total of 5 Captains. I would put 4 into a new penny sleeve to make the extra playset, and one left over in a new penny sleeve (with no sticker as I now have an extra playset) in the current space for the next time I sort.
Many of these items I get from my local card shop, but here are similar items:
I currently store my extra playsets in boxes that have 3 rows (like the big white bulk boxes), but now that there is a set rotation happening in Lorcana I'm rethinking perhaps going four rows, or two. Haven't made up my mind yet, but it's a consideration you might wish to make.
Many other options exist for housing your card collection, so by no means think this is the way it needs to be done. I've gone through a lot of trial and error to get where I am today, and who knows what I'll be doing a year from now. I'm always learning and growing as well.
One storage solution would be to utilize the box provided with the Lorcana troves. For instance, you can see how one of these boxes comfortably houses nearly a full playset (4 of every card) stored neatly in penny sleeves. While some may opt for individual boxes for each set, I prefer the convenience of accessing all three sets from a single box. Ultimately, the choice between organization methods comes down to personal preference and convenience.
