Mom-Net Head Start

Supporting Maternal Well-Being and Healthy Child Development

Who We Are

The Mom-Net Team is composed of a group of scientists at Oregon Research Institute and Georgia State University. The team created the Mom-Net program to help mothers learn new ways to cope with depressed mood and increase positive interactions with children.

What Is Mom-Net

Mom-Net is an evidence-based online program designed to improve maternal depressive symptoms thereby strengthening children's emotional and behavioral well-being. The project was developed in collaboration with Head Start agencies and has been shown to be effective.

What We Hope To Do

We hope to learn how to best fit Mom-Net into the Head Start community to reach mothers in need of support. We will work with you every step of the way, tailoring implementation to your agency's systems, with the goal of sustainably implementing Mom-Net at your agency.
