Why We Created This Service

With more than two decades of experience in healthcare and senior care, our founder, a nurse, has seen firsthand how difficult it can be for families to balance work, children, distance, and other responsibilities while also worrying about an aging parent or loved one.

Sometimes a senior does not need full-time home care. Their family may simply want someone dependable to stop by, see how they are doing, observe their surroundings, and communicate any concerns.

That is why Mom & Dad Check-In Services was created — to give families greater peace of mind and help them stay connected to the well-being of someone they love.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to provide reliable, compassionate non-medical check-ins while keeping families informed.

We understand how stressful it can be when you cannot visit a parent or loved one as often as you would like. Our check-in service provides an additional set of eyes and ears and helps families feel more connected, even when they cannot be physically present.

What We Offer

Mom & Dad Check-In Services provides non-medical wellness check-ins only. We do not provide hands-on personal care, home care, nursing care, medication administration, or other physical caregiving services.

Flexible scheduling options may include:

• Daily visits

• Every-other-day visits

• Weekly visits

During a check-in, we may:

• Spend time talking with your loved one and seeing how they are doing

• Observe the immediate environment for noticeable safety concerns

• Provide the family with an update following the visit

• Notify the designated family member promptly if we observe a concern or significant change

• Facilitate an optional FaceTime or video call with family when requested

Peace of Mind Without Full-Time Care

Not every family needs a traditional home care agency.

You may have a parent who is still largely independent but lives alone. You may live outside the area, have a demanding work schedule, be raising young children, or simply be unable to visit as frequently as you would like.

Mom & Dad Check-In Services helps fill that gap by providing scheduled visits and timely family updates without providing hands-on care.

Sometimes Seniors Don't Tell Their Families Everything

Many older adults do not want to worry their children. They may minimize a concern, forget to mention something important, or simply say, “I'm fine.”

A regular check-in can provide families with another perspective.

If we notice something concerning during a visit, we communicate it to the appropriate family member so they can decide what action, if any, should be taken.

Where We Can Visit

Depending on the situation and facility policies, check-ins may take place:

• In your loved one's home

• At an assisted living community

• At a nursing facility

• At a rehabilitation facility

• In a hospital

This can be especially helpful for families who live far away or cannot visit frequently.
