Visual Arts Portfolio - Molly Cox

My teaching practice centers on the belief that students develop as artists through the integration of technical skill, conceptual thinking, and personal voice. In the studio, students engage in a balance of structured skill-building and open-ended inquiry, allowing them to take creative risks while developing confidence in their artistic decisions.

Through drawing, painting, 3D design, and digital media, students explore observation, abstraction, identity, and visual storytelling. Emphasis is placed on process—idea development, experimentation, critique, and revision—so that students learn not only how to create, but how to think and communicate as artists.

The work presented here reflects a range of student experiences from foundational skill development to more advanced, independent exploration.
