We recently collaborated with Dr. Asmita Sarkar , Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design & Technology, to create a project titled "Pain: Felt and Drawn." This project intends to draw interest in pain neuroscience research and communicate the intricacies of how pain is felt and processed in art. We won a small grant from FAST India and presented our work at the India Science Festival, held in late Jan 2024 at IISER Pune. Below is a collection of paintings by Asmita inspired by how pain is sensed, processed, and interpreted. The video is designed, edited, and scored by Harsh Rathod, an IISER Pune undergraduate.
Arnab talked about "The Pain Pathways" at the Hyderabad Literature Fest in Jan 2026.

We did a workshop at the Science Gallery, Bengaluru, on how our brain circuits control hunger and satiety. This is an extension of one of the classes we take at the Center for Neuroscience, IISc, and a science-art collaboration.
