Gayatri is a PhD student in the Molecular Medicine Lab at IIT Bombay. She completed her B.Sc. at Somaiya University, Mumbai, and her M.Sc. in chemistry from IIT Delhi, where she worked on asymmetric catalysis involving quinoline-based compounds. Her current research focuses on image-guided surgery for glioblastoma, combining her background in synthetic chemistry with biomedical research.

Ayan obtained his MS degree from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali. He subsequently pursued his PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at NIPER, where his doctoral research focused on the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of Natural Product–inspired N-heterocyclic compounds as potential anticancer agents. His work involved the development of new synthetic methodologies, such as Nitrile-to-Nitrile condensation, Pd-catalyzed isocyanide insertion, and Nsp3-Ylide based reactions. He obtained his PhD in 2026 and subsequently joined the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay as an Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow in our group. His current research interests lie at the interface of medicinal chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, and chemical biology, with a particular focus on cancer immunotherapy for glioblastoma. Outside of the lab, Ayan enjoys playing football.
