Water Damage can also simply be a result of increased humidity due to summer weather, when heat and moisture often go hand in hand! A biproduct of high temperatures and humidity is condensation, and condensation leads to water where you don’t want it, which can lead to mold growth.

Humidity is caused because warm air can absorb and hold on to much more moisture content than cooler air can, and when air cools down from being warm, it must shed the water molecules it can no longer hold onto. This gives us condensation on surfaces in any room that was humid and is now cool.
