TrevoTech CBT Portal Development

Objective: To design and implement a Computer-Based Testing (CBT) portal for students to take tech-based certification exams online. 

Project Story Narration: 

I was brought on as the Business Analyst to support the development of the Trevotech Academy CBT Portal. The project commenced with a kickoff meeting where I was introduced to the Project Manager, Developers, UI/UX Designer, and Tester. The goal was to create a comprehensive web portal that would allow students to take paid, timed CBT exams, and receive certificates upon passing.

Following the meeting, I received a high-level requirement document from the Project Manager, outlining the basic needs for the portal. I reviewed the document and prepared a list of questions to better understand the project scope. I conducted interview sessions with key stakeholders, including the Director and Project Manager, to clarify both in-scope and out-of-scope functionalities. Once the scope was clearly defined, I created the Business requirement Document and obtained formal sign-off from the Director.

I facilitated several requirement-gathering sessions, collecting both functional and non-functional requirements. Using BPMN diagrams, I mapped the user journey through the portal and documented the various processes, ensuring all steps were captured in the Functional Requirements Document, which was reviewed and validated by the Director and Project Manager.

As the design phase began, I collaborated closely with the UI/UX designer, providing continuous input based on the requirements to ensure the design aligned with the intended user experience. Once the design was approved by the stakeholders, the development team began work on building the portal.

Although the portal is still in development, I played a key role in ensuring that the foundation for the project was solidly established. My work involved gathering all necessary requirements, aligning stakeholders, and setting the project up for successful execution. As the project moves forward, I have transitioned to new projects, leaving behind a well-documented and structured foundation for the ongoing development.
