I've been caring for young children for over ten years, and I love being a part of their growth & development! I am currently a mom to a 3-year-old boy.
I have a Bachelor in Anthropology and a Multiple Subject teaching credential in California. I am enrolled at Grand Canyon University for my MBA! I taught in a project-based learning school for two years. I was an AVID/Math tutor for a local high school for two years. Also, I was an educational assistant at a museum for two years.
I am passionate about our children's future and want to create a loving, welcoming environment where everyone can grow! We aim to start a garden and have homegrown fresh food daily for the children we care for. We have baby chickens, ducks, and quail to provide fresh morning eggs. In our home, we believe in composting to create the best garden and food.
Exposing children to the joy of food and involving them in growing, harvesting, and creating can transform lives and communities. My program is play-based, prioritizing allowing children to direct their learning depending on their interests. We like to think it is a Montessori/Waldorf/Reggio Emilia approach but more relaxed. We appreciate what each approach to child education has to offer and take from all three to create the best environment for our children.

Our holistic approach to child development encompasses social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development. A theme that celebrates seasonality, it weaves food and farming lessons into art, music, story time, play, and cooking. Hands-on and developmentally appropriate gardening and cooking activities expose children to the joy and satisfaction of raising vegetables and animals for food. Children have the opportunity to care for farm animals, learning empathy, respect, and responsibility. Families can access fresh farm products such as chicken, duck, & quail eggs. As well as produce and unique items made by the children, including butter, soap, herbal tea, and more.
Eat
Eating fresh, nutritious food grown with love is the foundation for a healthy and meaningful life. We serve two healthy meals and two snacks that guide the rhythm of the day.
Play
We facilitate imaginative play and provide space for unstructured peer-to-peer creativity. Children are encouraged to explore and push their boundaries in a safe and supportive environment.
Learn
Hands-on activities help children develop confidence and skill. Close attention is paid to each child’s strengths and challenges, creating an individualized program that progresses through developmentally appropriate tasks.
