Ciara Thompson is a trained musician and singer with 30 years of experience. She trained in singing at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin, and the Conservatory of Music and Drama, DIT, where she was awarded a medal for French song and qualified as a Master of Music Performance in 2016. She is an Associate of Trinity College London, having received her diploma in 2014.
Ciara is an experienced performer, having performed recitals in Dublin, Magheralin, and Lisburn, and has been placed and awarded at several music festivals, including Feis Ceoil, Portadown Music Festival, and Ballymena Music Festival. She is the Antrim Scor champion in Singing.
Ciara has many years of choral experience including The Belfast Philharmonic, Ulster Youth Choir and NI Opera. Her teaching experience includes private students as well as being a tutor at The Ulster College of Music and Junior Academy of Music at Queens University Belfast.
Ciara has a gentle approach to teaching singing to young children, to ensure no damage is done to young voices. She uses all exam boards and believes that grade examinations are a good method of motivating and an incentive for both children and adults.
