Hi!

I currently serve as the HPDS Research Director at High Performance Data Storage (HPDS) Corp. I lead the system research & technology teams to do excellent research which results in publications in top-tier international conferences, patents, and also prototypes of new technologies for future HPDS products.  In addition to my duties at HPDS, I am also a Senior Research Associate at Sharif University of Technology . My research interests cover full spectrum of computer architecture with special focus on storage/memory architectures, and hardware acceleration platforms.

Before joining HPDS , I earned a PhD degree in computer science and engineering at POSTECH in 2019. My research advisor was  Prof. Jangwoo Kim  and my main line of work was designing  next-generation server architectures through novel integration of hardware accelerators. Our work resulted in multiple (first/co-authored) papers published in top-tier conferences (e.g., MICRO, HPCA,  ISCA) and journals (e.g., IEEE CAL, ACM TACO). In particular, our HPCA 2019 work  gained recognition as a "Best Paper Nominee" at HPCA, in addition to earning "Honorable Mention" at IEEE MICRO Top Picks 2019.

Before Joining POSTECH at 2013, I was a B.Sc. student in electrical engineering (focus on electronics) at Sharif University of Technology. Due to significant engineering work and some research achievements in my B.Sc. project, I received the best B.Sc. project award from the department of electrical engineering.
