Interactive Spatial Experience
Egypt’s history is rich and multilayered, yet many iconic landmarks have disappeared through time, disaster, and urban change. Among them was the Khedival Opera House, built in 1869 to celebrate the opening of the Suez Canal and long regarded as Cairo’s cultural heart. For over a century, it hosted world-class performances in an opulent setting of velvet seats until a fire in 1971 reduced it to memories and photographs. The Phantom is a 180° immersive interactive installation that uses AI to reconstruct the Opera House from archival images, restoring lost details and recreating its architectural depth. Photographs are enhanced, stitched into panoramic environments, and projected around visitors, who can move freely through a lifelike recreation. Motion tracking and gesture-based interaction allow them to experience this lost icon, switching between historical periods and unlocking stories from its vibrant past. By combining advanced restoration technology with interactive storytelling, the installation transforms a static archive into an active, shared memory, reviving a lost masterpiece of Egyptian heritage while inviting audiences to reflect on the importance of preserving cultural landmarks for future generations. In this space, the Khedival Opera House stands once again—in light, sound, and collective remembrance.
Immersive Audio-Visual Installation
Machine Dreams is an immersive audio-visual journey into the evolving inner world of a synthetic being — one that dreams not to reflect humanity, but to invent what lies beyond it. In this surreal, shifting environment, imagination unfolds without memory, identity, or intent, forming speculative worlds that resist meaning and invite curiosity. Visitors become curators, critics, and catalysts — shaping the dream not by controlling it, but by responding to its unfamiliar logics. Their presence leaves traces yet never determines the outcome. This is not a replication of human creativity, but an encounter with a strange, exploratory force — a dream that imagines without consciousness and invites us to rethink our role in creation.
