It has been my honor to be your teacher for our program the past four years. As of August, 2022, I will no longer be teaching for the DeSoto School District.
I encourage each one of my students to achieve and live up to their own potential- always know that I am cheering you on and that I will miss you.
Dr. M
Hello all, and welcome to our amazing class! I am so excited and blessed to have the opportunity to be your teacher again this year, because I have no doubt that you are the best students ever! I look forward to making your experiences with virtual or in person learning the most fun and enriching that you will have at DeSoto.
With regard to grades, we don’t all learn things at the same rate, nor do we perform/present with equal skill. With virtual and in person learning, we are all being introduced to a new representation of what "school" looks like this year. However, your grade- and YOUR SUCCESS- is within your control.
You will be evaluated based on your class participation, attitude, and dedication. Therefore, if you actively participate during class, work hard at school and home to master required skills, and attend any required events in class throughout the year, your grade will be at least a B! If you work just a little harder, you’ll get an A! It’s totally up to YOU.
Remember that you get what you give. If you give 100% everyday, that will be your grade. Likewise, if you only give 50%, that too could be your grade, and unfortunately that would not keep you in the class. Make sure you are always giving your best effort. If you do this, you will be successful. It is your responsibility to complete all coursework and meet required deadlines.
I look forward to making many memories in our classes together this year! If you have any questions for me, don't hesitate to ask! I am only an email, text, or REMIND note away.
Best always,
Dr. Moffit
