My name is Alex Moffett, I'm currently an independent postdoctoral fellow at the NSF Center for Theoretical Biological Physics (CTBP) at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. I work with Michele Di Pierro on evolutionary genomics and Herbie Levine on the eco-evolutionary dynamics of cancer.
Previously, I worked with Andrew Eckford as a postdoctoral fellow at York University in Toronto, Ontario. My focus was on problems at the interface of information theory, evolutionary biology, and systems biology.
Before then, I did my Ph.D. in Biophysics and Computational Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I worked with Diwakar Shukla on the conformational dynamics of plant proteins using molecular dynamics simulations.
