Moeller Lab

Improving analytical models for monitoring wild populations and informing conservation decisions

Welcome to the Moeller Lab!

The Moeller Lab studies population dynamics for the management and conservation of wildlife species. We focus on developing, extending, and applying new statistical tools for demographic parameter estimation and population modeling, and we apply these tools in field research projects on a variety of species. Our research addresses pressing ecological questions, and the tools we develop are used to test basic ecological hypotheses and inform management decisions.

Located at Oklahoma State University, the Moeller Lab works collaboratively with partners and agencies across the US. We work with technologies such as GPS collars, remote cameras, and remote sensing. Our research applies to many different taxa, including ungulates, large carnivores, and birds.
