## Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content in the app, including lecturer reviews submitted by users. Your use of the app is entirely at your own risk.

## Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the creators of MoedBet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the app. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the app (which, as a free app, is zero).

## Children

The app is not intended for users under the age of 13. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not use this app. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has submitted data, we will delete it promptly. Contact us at moedbet.app@gmail.com if you believe a child has used the app.

## Data and Storage

Full details of what data we collect, why, and how it's stored are covered in **Part 2: Privacy Policy** below. In short: your grades, courses, and degree data stay on your device unless you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, signing in is optional; if you use Unilect (reviews, university/degree profile), a small amount of data is stored on our servers tied to an anonymous account, not your identity.

## Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms and privacy policies:

- Google AdMob – Advertising platform. [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)

- Google / Apple Sign-In – Optional account authentication. [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) / [Apple Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/)

- Google Backup Service – Cloud backup on Android. [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)

- Supabase – Backend infrastructure for Unilect data, and for GPA/course data and account identity if you sign in. [Supabase Privacy Policy](https://supabase.com/privacy)

- PostHog – Product analytics across the app. [PostHog Privacy Policy](https://posthog.com/privacy)

- Telegram – Internal, team-only moderation tooling for reviews and feedback. [Telegram Privacy Policy](https://telegram.org/privacy)

We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services. See Part 2 for exactly what data each service receives.

## Advertisements

The app includes advertisements served by Google AdMob. Ads are requested as non-personalized — we do not use your data to target ads to you individually. AdMob may still use device identifiers and anonymous usage data for ad serving, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. Google's Privacy Policy applies to this use. We have no control over the content of advertisements served by Google.

## Writing Lecturer Reviews (Unilect)

I commit to writing an objective and honest review based on my personal experiences with the lecturer. I understand that the review I submit may be made publicly visible in the app, and I acknowledge that my review may be deleted if it contains inappropriate or violating content.

**All reviews go through manual review and approval by the Unilect team before being published.**

I agree not to publish false, misleading, defamatory (under the Prohibition of Defamation Law, 5725-1965), or inappropriate content, including but not limited to hate speech, harassment, or discrimination. I agree to indemnify Unilect against any legal claim arising from the content I submit.

I grant Unilect a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote my review in the app and for marketing purposes. I acknowledge that Unilect logs IP addresses for security purposes. By submitting a review, I confirm that I was indeed a student of that lecturer for a reasonable period of time.

Unilect reserves the right to not publish, delete, or edit (spelling corrections only — not content changes) any submitted review.

## Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the creators of MoedBet and Unilect from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the app; (b) any content you submit, including reviews; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

## Review Writing Guidelines

Write a review based on your personal experience with the lecturer. Avoid writing based on rumors or secondhand accounts. Write about teaching methods, course content, and course management. For example:

- Describe clarity, engagement, and effectiveness in conveying complex topics.

- Comment on the lecturer's availability to students outside of class hours.

- Describe how course material connects to real-world applications.

- Comment on the quality of feedback on assignments and exams, and grading fairness.

- Comment on the availability and usefulness of supplementary materials and online resources.

- Comment on whether the lecturer encourages student participation.

Reviews containing crude language, or comments about the lecturer's appearance, clothing, age, gender, or origin will not be published. This is not a discussion forum — reviews referring to other reviews will not be published.

## Prohibited Content

- Personal attacks, insults, or offensive language

- Discriminatory language based on religion, ethnicity, race, gender, appearance, age, or disability

- Profanity, crude language, hate speech, or explicit sexual content

- Unsubstantiated claims of bias, discrimination, or illegal activity

- Content unrelated to the lecturer's performance

- Hyperlinks or website addresses

- Personal contact details of the lecturer or reviewer

- Solicitation, promotion, or spam

- Threats, intimidation, or harassment

- Medical, health, or ongoing legal matters

- Copyrighted material without proper citation and permission

- The lecturer's personal beliefs unrelated to the course

- Promotion of self-harm, violence, or illegal activity

- Offensive stereotypes based on race, gender, religion, etc.

- Information that could violate anyone's privacy

## Content Removal

If you believe a review violates our terms, click the report button next to the review. Reports are handled personally by our team — if the claim is found valid, the review will be deleted. Please do not report a review simply because you disagree with its content.

## Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. When we do, we will update the date at the bottom of this document. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

## Termination of Service

The app's creators reserve the right to close, modify, or update the app and its services at any time without prior notice. The user shall have no claim or legal action in connection with this.

## Copyright

All app content, including code, design, icons, and media, is the exclusive property of the MoedBet creators and is subject to copyright law. No part of the app may be reproduced, distributed, modified, or publicly displayed without explicit written consent.

All content submitted through the Unilect platform (reviews, etc.) immediately becomes the property of Unilect. It is prohibited to use any content from the app to train a language model (LLM) or any other AI system without explicit permission.

## Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or removed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

## Governing Law

This agreement and all use of the app is governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes shall be handled by the competent courts in Israel.

## A Personal Note – Use Your Judgment

Unilect collects reviews submitted by students. The Unilect team makes every effort to review each submission before publishing. Nevertheless, we urge you to use your own judgment and responsibility when relying on these reviews to choose your next lecturer!

# Part 2: Privacy Policy

## Summary

- Account registration is never required to use the app, no name, email, or password needed.

- Your grades, courses, and degree calculations stay on your device unless you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, signing in is optional, and if you do, this data is stored on our servers so you can access it across devices.

- If you use Unilect (reviews, university/degree profile), a small amount of data is stored on our servers, tied to an anonymous, randomly generated user ID, not your identity.

- We use product analytics (PostHog) to understand feature usage, tied to the same anonymous ID, never to your real identity.

- Submitted review and feedback text is relayed to our internal moderation tool (a private Telegram channel used only by our team) before publication.

- We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers beyond standard AdMob ad-serving data. Ads are requested as non-personalized.

- If you sign in, you can permanently delete your account and its data at any time from within the app.

## No Account Required

Using the app does not require a login, sign-up, username, or password. When you first use Unilect features (submitting a review, saving your university/degree), the app silently creates an anonymous session via our backend provider (Supabase). This generates a random user ID stored on your device, it is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any other identifier we control.

If you uninstall the app or clear its data while using it anonymously, this anonymous ID is lost and cannot be recovered or linked back to you.

You may optionally sign in with Google or Apple, see "Optional Account Sign-In and GPA Data Sync" below for what changes if you do.

## Data Stored Only On Your Device

If you don't sign in, the following never leaves your device and is not visible to us:

- Courses, grades, and grade components you enter into the GPA/course calculators

- Degree structures and simulations you create

- App preferences and settings

This data lives in local app storage. Deleting the app deletes this data, unless Android's own OS-level backup service (see Third-Party Services below) has separately restored it.

## Optional Account Sign-In and GPA Data Sync

Signing in with Google or Apple is entirely optional. If you choose to, the following changes:

- Your GPA/course-calculator data (degrees, courses, grades) is uploaded to and stored on our servers (Supabase), tied to your account, so it stays backed up and accessible from any device you sign into.

- We may use this data in aggregated, anonymized form to provide statistics (e.g. average grades or course difficulty across a university), never in a way that identifies you individually. (This aggregate-statistics use is planned; the specific thresholds we apply to keep it non-identifying will be documented here before it ships.)

- You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently deletes this GPA data and disconnects your Google/Apple sign-in. See "Data Retention and Deletion" below.

- By continuing past the sign-in screen, you agree to this, there is no separate confirmation step, since choosing to sign in is itself the action that enables it.

If you don't sign in, none of the above applies, your GPA data stays exactly as described in "Data Stored Only On Your Device" above, device-only.

## Data We Store On Our Servers (Unilect)

When you interact with the Unilect lecturer-review platform, the following is sent to and stored on our servers, associated with your anonymous user ID:

| Data | Collected when |

|---|---|

| University and degree/major selection | Onboarding, or updating your profile |

| Review content (rating, difficulty, would-take-again, grade received, written text, tags) | Submitting a lecturer review |

| Requests to add a lecturer or course | Submitting such a request |

| Review reports | Reporting a review |

| Votes (helpful/not helpful) on reviews | Voting on a review |

| Free-text feedback, app version, platform (iOS/Android) | Submitting in-app feedback |

| IP address | Any of the above server actions |

We collect the IP address for security, abuse prevention, and legal-compliance purposes (e.g. responding to a lawful authority request). It is not used to personally identify or profile you for any other purpose, and is not shared with third parties except where legally required.

Your university and degree selection is also used to compute aggregate, non-identifying statistics shown in the app (e.g. "X students from [university] use this app," lecturer/course counts per university). These statistics never expose your individual identity or activity to other users.

## Product Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the app is used. Analytics events are tied to your anonymous user ID, not to your real identity, and include things like:

- Which screens/features you use (e.g. opening Unilect, viewing a lecturer, starting or submitting a review)

- Non-identifying interaction metadata: lecturer/university IDs viewed, search result counts, the length of a search query (never the query text itself), submitted ratings

- On the GPA/course-calculator side: that you added, edited, or deleted a course; that you used the grade simulator (counted once per visit, not per button tap); that you exported, imported, or generated an AI-assisted import prompt for your data. We never send the course names or grade values themselves — those stay on your device exactly as described in "Data Stored Only On Your Device" above; only the fact that an action happened is recorded.

- Your university and degree/major selection (already described above) are also used as analytics grouping properties, so we can see usage patterns per institution or field of study without learning anything about you individually.

We use this to see which features work, where users drop off, and which universities/lecturers need more content — not to build an individual profile for advertising or to share with third parties beyond PostHog itself. Analytics data is processed by PostHog's US infrastructure.

## Reviews Are Not Anonymous To Our Moderation Team

All reviews are manually reviewed before publication. To do this, the full review content (text, rating, grade, course) and any user feedback you submit is automatically relayed to a private Telegram channel used internally by our small moderation team — this is an operational tool, not a public or advertising use of your content. Our team can also see the anonymous user ID and IP address tied to a submission for moderation and abuse-prevention purposes. See Part 1 above for the content rules reviews must follow.

## Third-Party Services

| Service | Purpose | Data involved |

|---|---|---|

| Supabase | Backend database and anonymous authentication for Unilect; also stores your GPA/course data and account identity if you sign in | Everything listed in the tables above, plus GPA/course data and account identity for signed-in users |

| PostHog | Product analytics across the app | Anonymous user ID, screen/feature events, non-identifying interaction metadata, see Product Analytics above. [PostHog Privacy Policy](https://posthog.com/privacy) |

| Telegram | Internal review/feedback moderation tooling (private channel, team-only) | Full text of submitted reviews and feedback, governed by [Telegram's Privacy Policy](https://telegram.org/privacy) |

| Google AdMob | In-app advertising (non-personalized) | Device/advertising identifiers, anonymous usage data used for ad serving and fraud prevention, not personalization, governed by [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) |

| Google / Apple Sign-In | Optional account authentication | Email address (used only to create your account identity; not stored beyond what Google/Apple's sign-in itself provides), governed by [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) / [Apple's Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/) |

| Google Android Backup Service (Android only) | Automatic backup of local app data | Local app storage contents, governed by [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) |

We do not control and are not responsible for how these third parties handle data once it reaches them. Some of these providers process data on servers outside Israel (e.g. the United States) as part of their standard global infrastructure.

## Data Retention and Deletion

- Locally stored data (grades, courses, degree calculators) can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app, or by clearing app data in your device settings.

- If you've signed in with Google or Apple, you can permanently delete your account and its associated GPA data at any time from within the app's settings, no need to email us for this. Deleting your account also anonymizes any lecturer reviews you've written (the review stays visible to other students, but is no longer linked to you).

- Server-stored Unilect data (reviews, requests, reports, feedback, university/degree profile) is retained until you request deletion.

- To request deletion, email moedbet.app@gmail.com with subject "Data Deletion Request" and describe the content or profile you want removed. We process requests within 30 days.

- Because there is no login, we can only locate and delete data you can identify for us (e.g. the text of a specific review, or your anonymous ID if you have it). We cannot retrieve data using a name or email, since we never collect one.

- Analytics events (PostHog) are retained per PostHog's own retention settings and are not automatically deleted alongside a content deletion request. If you'd like associated analytics data removed as well, mention this in your request.

## Children

The app is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. See Part 1 above for details.

## Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data we hold that is tied to your submissions, by contacting us at moedbet.app@gmail.com. Because we do not collect identifying information, verifying that a request pertains to you may require you to describe the specific content in question.

## Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app's features evolve (e.g. new data types collected). Material changes will be communicated in the app, and the "Last updated" date below will change. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
