How to get there
From Heidelberg Hbf one can take tram line 24 and alight at Neuenheim, Bunsengymnasium.
To get to Heidelberg Hbf you can check the very reliable Deutsche Bahn.
For those who are flying in, the closest international airport is Frankfurt Airport (FRA). The airport has a station for long distance trains (Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf), and there are regular connections to Heidelberg Hbf. There is also the Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport (FKB) which can sometimes be cheaper (altough harder to get to!).
Transportation within Heidelberg
Heidelberg has a well-connected system of buses and trams if you do not want to walk. We recommend buying a "Tages-Ticket" for each day you plan on taking multiple bus or tram rides. The easiest way is to download the Deutsche Bahn App → VRN Rhein – Neckar → Ticketauswahl. This is approx. 9.50€ per day. Here you can also buy single tickets or 5-day tickets.
A useful bus route is the number 31 which goes between Bunsengymnasium (the local stop to the maths department) and Bismarckplatz (more central, by the old town).
Lunch vouchers
Lunch will be provided on Wednesday and the Thursday at the Mensa- we will hand out meal vouchers on those days. There will also be coffee breaks each day, with a range of drinks and snacks.
Conference dinner information
The conference dinner will be held at Olive (address: Klausenpfad 36, 69121 Heidelberg) at 19:00 on Wednesday 11th February. The restaurant is a short walk from the department. Hopefully you are already registered and have chosen your meal.
