I consider the Scott Pilgrim series, by Bryan Lee O'Malley, to be a core influence of mine. I really appreciate the stylisation and pacing of the comic and was thrilled when it became an animated series.

I was really into this series when I was younger and it has DEFINETLY influenced my sense of humour. It's stupidly morbid and is like, 90% horror movie references/parodies.
