To help you prepare for the exam, we offer different types of practice, including practice questions and a mock exam, with our Learning Ecosystem. As you work your way through the curriculum, we recommend pausing to answer practice questions, assessing your level of confidence and accuracy along the way. Then, in advance of the exam, take a mock exam, which mimics the exam-day experience as closely as possible.

Mock exams are designed to replicate the timing and structure of the exam. Mock exams, also known as question banks, are posted in the Learning Ecosystem about two months before the date of your exam.

In terms of structure, each mock exam consists of the same topic area weights and level of difficulty as the actual exam. Questions are based on the current curriculum for the exam level you registered for, and they are in the same format as the questions on the actual exam.

Taking practice exams throughout the time you study is highly encouraged. When taking the exam we recommend simulating the environment as much as possible, such as using the same amount of time, access to snacks and water during the designated break, and prolonged screen time.

Exam Sim uses the same time limits and built-in breaks that CFA Institute uses on the exam; however, you do not need to follow these constraints. These serve as a guideline to you in order to replicate the exam as closely as possible. When the timer hits zero, you can continue completing the mock exam without a time constraint.

Answering Functionality

Answer, skip, flag, and filter questions exactly like the actual exam. This type of practice helps improve efficiency in completing the exam under the time constraints set on exam day. You must answer all questions on the mock exam in order to complete each section. Once you complete both sections of the mock exam, view the detailed results report using our Exam Tutorial.

This chapter discusses a lot of boilerplate ARE information. Much of this information is the same stuff from the NCARB website or NCARB study guides. There is a chapter about IDP, an overview of the 7 exams, Gang Chen's take on which exam to take first, and some pretty good study tips.

I think he does an excellent job on the mock exam. The questions and vignette explanations are well-written, and Gang Chen frequently tries to trick you and get you to make common mistakes, just like NCARB on the real exam.

Gang Chen does not publish his own study material as well, and I consider this a benefit. By studying Ballast, Kaplan, or Architect Exam Prep, their study material typically prepares you for their practice exams. Gang Chen will quickly help you learn where the gaps in your knowledge are.

This mock exam series is designed in such a way that it respects the weightage of these individual knowledge areas to give you the experience of an actual exam.

And to take it up another notch, the questions you get for this mock exam, including the knowledge areas, are completely randomized, curated from a large pool of questions designed by our experts!

A mock exam mimics a real exam. It helps candidates prepare for the actual exam. Mock exams help candidates familiarize themselves with the exam syllabus (technical difficulty and the format of the exam) as well as the logistics needed (tools, technique and procedures).

No, the mock exam result will not be recognised by us. We intend to make the solutions of the mock exam publicly available, allowing candidates to utilize them for more effective preparation for the actual exam. You will not be able to verify your pass/fail result of the mock exam on our website.

Mock exams might be the first time that retrieval practice goes from low-stakes to high-stakes. We do regular retrieval practice in lessons, often without even seeing how students get on. Mocks (depending on how they are marked and then that mark used) steps up the stakes. This gradual process of mock exams, supports students in managing the whole experience of real exams.

The experience of sitting in a hall/room to complete an exam is an important aspect of mocks (which is why I shudder when senior leaders ask for them to be done in their usual classroom). Most students are used to their usual teaching classroom and complete work there in relative comfort and confidence. The experience of a often large, open room is physically different and we want students to experience this before the real exam as it can be daunting. Alongside this, the students experience other physical aspects that they may not have done so before:

I strongly believe that schools have the power here. The language we use, the preparations we make, the way that teachers are treated with exams by senior leaders (pressure passes down to students), all contributes and I think we can be really smart about this.

ARE 5.0 Mock Exams, by Holly Williams Leppo, David Kent Ballast, and Rima Taher, contains six mock exams consistent with the NCARB Architect Registration Exam (ARE 5.0) format and divisions. All exam divisions are covered, with one mock exam for each ARE 5.0 division. This new edition builds on the previous edition with new questions and updates to cover content feedback received from NCARB for the ARE 5.0 Exam Review. The questions that were found to be appropriate during the review were kept in the new edition.

We are a northern hemisphere school and run the practice exams in January, immediately after the students return from their winter break. The exams are scheduled over 9-10 days and include all the assessments (papers) that the students will take in the final exams. There are advantages and disadvantages to this timing. From August to December of Grade 12, we focus on the coursework assignments (Internal Assessments, Extended Essays etc.) so that the second part of the year can be devoted to exam preparation.

Sufficient syllabus coverage, level of difficulty and exam security are some of the considerations faced by teachers when designing mock exam assessments. Using complete sets of past papers is a way of ensuring that the whole subject guide (syllabus) is assessed using appropriately challenging tasks formatted in an IB style. The schools can acquire the mark schemes for the assessments and teachers can grade them with a high level of confidence.

Students are often able to access past papers and mark schemes, however, so it is important to maintain a level of unpredictability to ensure that the mock exams are a valid assessment of learning. A solution could be to use a combination of past exam papers from different years. It is possible for teachers to design their own assessment tasks, but this is often too time-consuming. Ideally, subject departments should discuss their approach to mock exams during collaborative planning time. Our school has designed a cover sheet for the exams, listing the equipment required, time allowed and the students taking standard level or higher level.

The mock exams are an opportunity to test procedures for setting up the exam room, administering inclusive access arrangements (extra time etc.) and remembering the requirements for each subject (calculators, data booklets etc.). We can support students and their parents by communicating the mock exam schedule and other arrangements clearly, for example via ManageBac.

Hey,

does the institute provide 3 mock exams for all levels ?

i am appearing for l1 in may 2022 and only 2 are available on the learning ecosystem

also do the number of exams reduce closer to the dates of the actual exam ?

This year, my strategy has changed to Quality over Quantity. I do mock exams, review the answer schemes and close the gap on my weak areas. I spent more time reviewing weak areas compared to just plowing through more mock exams.

Yes, quality not quantity is indeed what we advise candidates to do ? Aim for a minimum amount of mock exams under time constraint and exam conditions (say 5-6 sets), go through them thoroughly to close the gap in your knowledge in your review session.

We have been conducting Java certification exam training for more than twenty years and our material contains every bit of our experience that we gain while doing so. Our Java Certification mock exams and questions are the best in terms of quality of content, closeness to the real exam questions, number of Questions, features, and technical guidance.

You don't have to take our word for it though. Do your research on the net, read reviews from our users, and compare our mock exams, questions, and explanations with offerings from other companies. We are sure that you will find enough reasons to go with Enthuware.

Try it, you won't regret it!

Did you know that you can greatly increase your chance of exam success by correctly answering 1,000 practice questions and scoring at least 70% on a mock exam in the CFA Institute Learning Ecosystem? Using Artificial Intelligence to analyze aggregate data in the learning platform, we have identified three elements that lead to exam success:

We have found that the number of questions attempted is the single most important driver of success. To help you succeed, we are now offering a Level I Practice Pack [BEGINNING WITH THE 2024 EXAM]. It includes 1,000 more practice questions and six additional mock exams to go with the study materials you currently receive as part of registration. 006ab0faaa
