Creative Art inspired to Rose Windows
"Firmament"
A TRIBUTE TO APULIA
FIRMAMENT is an art project by the Apulian artist and designer Bernardo Palazzo. It is a tribute to the Apulian territory and to its traditions. It is represented by huge doilies placed on hayballs in the countryside. The art installation wants to emphasize Apulian crochet works that evoke the rose windows of Apulian cathedrals. They are also like big mandalas, old drawings and sacred representations of the cosmos.
Molfetta in Luce
While strolling in the town of Molfetta, you can see white decorations during the Christmas season, inspired to Apulian rose windows. They become of different colours in the night, so creating a magic atmosphere!
Crochet Xmas Tree
In the small town of Ostuni, also called "the white town", a group og Apulian women made a big Xmas Tree to emphasize both the importance of an ancient work, the crochet, and the rose windows, strong symbols in Apulian towns.
