Notary
Notaries certify proper execution of many life- changing documents, whether those transactions convey real estate, grant powers of attorney, establish a prenuptial agreement, or perform the multitude of other activities that enable our civil society to function.
Loan Signing
As a Certified Notary Signing Agent, I work directly with lending institutions, signing services, title companies, and more who need a Notary Public that is familiar and qualified with loan closing documentation.
Jurats
The second most frequently performed notarial act is the jurat. The jurat can be identified through the inclusion of the words, "subscribed and sworn to" (or "affirmed") on the certificate. A person who makes a false oath or affirmation is subject to criminal charges of perjury.
Affidavits
A form of sworn written and signed statement commonly used in formal court proceedings. Affidavits such as the following are typical examples of loan documents that require a jurat: Name/Signature Affidavit, Occupancy Affidavit, and Mortgagor's Affidavit.
