Welcome to CCTV Camera Recorder (“us”, “we”, or “our”), a mobile application available on Android that lets you record and review video footage on your device, and includes an AfterCall Feature that displays a summary screen after each phone call.

1. Information Collection and Use
We collect only the data necessary to provide and enhance the App’s functionality:
Video Files & Thumbnails: Stored locally to let you view and manage your recordings within the App—no uploads to our servers
AfterCall Metadata: Phone call states (incoming/outgoing), timestamps, and minimal metadata needed to trigger and display the AfterCall summary screen immediately after each call
Device & Usage Information: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, and anonymized crash/usage reports to improve stability and performance
2. Data Storage and Security
We only keep your data for as long as it's needed to provide the app's services. Once the data is no longer required, we either delete it or anonymize it so it can't be linked back to you.
All the app data is stored directly on your device. If you uninstall the app, all the data stored locally on your phone or tablet will be removed automatically.
Please note, any data collected by third-party services used within the app will follow their own data retention policies. You can check their policies for more details on how they manage your data.
We aim to protect your information and only retain what's necessary to make sure the app works as it should.
3. Permission We Can Use and Why
CAMERA & RECORD_AUDIO : Capture synchronized video and audio footage for your recordings.
READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE : Save and load video files and thumbnails on your device’s storage.
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (Overlay) : Allow the AfterCall overlay to appear on top of your dialer immediately after a call.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS : Send reminders about scheduled recordings or highlight newly captured footage.
READ_PHONE_STATE & CALL_PHONE : Detect call start/end events to trigger the AfterCall summary screen.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE : (Optional) Check connectivity when you choose to back up or export recordings.
Google Ads: We use Google AdMob to display ads in the App. AdMob may collect data to serve personalized ads, including device identifiers, usage data, and location (if permitted). You may adjust your ad preferences in the device settings.
Firebase Analytics and crashlytics : We use Firebase to collect unidentified app usage data, such as feature engagement and crash reports, to improve the App's performance. All permissions are requested at runtime; denying them may limit certain features.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
On‑Device Retention: Data stays as long as you keep the App installed.
Auto‑Delete Option: You can enable automatic cleanup of recordings older than a set period (e.g., 30 days).
Manual Deletion: Use the “Clear Data” option in Settings to remove all videos and metadata at any time
