Brief Description:
The goal of this project is to evaluate and quantify pedestrian behavior and its trajectory by using pedestrian motion model and simulations. The motion model can help to understand different perspectives from pedestrian viewpoint and what factors are related to the safe interaction between AV and pedestrian. These factors can be varied based on individual pedestrian characteristics, vehicle’s parameters, road’s parameters etc. The Scenario-based approach using probabilistic risk assessment with respect to vulnerable road users’ safety will also be conducted. Impact force on pedestrian coming from AV will be measured during the case of actual AV-pedestrian collision and injury assessment will also be done in this high-risk conflicting scenario.
Brief Description:
A micro controller made by Arduino with attached sensors is used to measure the comfort level of public buses in Dhaka city. The senors measured the temperature, sound level, acceleration, jerking and GPS location of a specific bus journey. Questionnaire survey of the bus passengers was also done. Then a multiple linear regression model was made considering both mechanical data and qualitative data. This research leads to a prime finding that comfort level at public buses in Dhaka are ‘slightly uncomfortable’ or ‘uncomfortable’. It also signifies the impact of temperature and jerking on the overall comfort feeling in public buses.
I have participated in the drawing of Condition Diagram of selected Intersections at National and Regional levels in Bangladesh by AutoCAD. The condition diagram consists of 12 drawings:
Permitted traffic movement and dimensions of approaches
Land Use
Road Furniture
Signal/ Sign / Road Marking/ Pavement
Pedestrian Facility
Public transport / goods vehicle
Visibility
Encroachment/ Illegal parking/ Illegal turn/ Wrong way
Other issues

This study has been conducted with standardized DBQ reported by 100 intercity and 100 intracity bus drivers to know about different driving behaviors. Reliability of questionnaire was verified by correlation and statistics of their distribution using SPSS software. Both similarities and differences between intercity and intracity bus drivers driving behaviors have been observed. Age of drivers, educational qualification and high work load pressure are found significant.
