Libby Rodriguez is the Head Volleyball Coach at McKinney North High School. Libby grew up in Highland Village, Texas where she attended Flower Mound Marcus High School and graduated from West Texas A&M University with a bachelor degree in General Studies.
She was a collegiate All-American at West Texas A & M and led her team to the final four in 2006. She coached at Pampa High School for 4 years where she accumulated a record of 92 wins and only 56 losses in four years. Rodriguez then moved back home to Lewisville High School for the last 7.
The 2019-2020 school year will be Coach Rodriguez’s first year as a head coach in MISD. Libby is married to Frankie and has two daughters, Gabi and Cruz.
Rodriguez inherits a McKinney North team that finished 18-18 in 2018 and last season qualified for the playoffs for only the fifth time in school history and the first time since 2013. Seven letter winners are expected to return for the Lady Bulldogs for the 2019 season.

Coach Amy Johnson will be starting her second year as a North Bulldog. She is the varsity assistant coach and teaches English III and AP English Language. Coach Johnson began her teaching career in Plano ISD where she coached freshmen volleyball and basketball and taught English I Pre-AP, English II Pre-AP and English II.
Coach Johnson graduated with a Masters of Secondary Education and Bachelors in English Literature from the University of North Texas. Coach Johnson attended Rider High School in Wichita Falls, Texas. She participated in basketball, PALs, and National Honor Society.
Coach Johnson married her husband, Travis, in June 2016. Travis is from McKinney via Gun Barrell City. He works for a medical software company, and he is proud SFA Lumberjack. Together, they stay busy with their 4 kids and 4 dogs. Lacie and Luke, 15, are sophomores at North this year. Lacie is a NorthStar and Luke plays percussion for our Bulldog Band. Jackson, 12, and Cru, 10, attend school in Prosper ISD. The Johnsons are dog lovers with four sweet pups - three are pugs! Go Mean Green and Axe ‘em Jacks!

Coach Howard will be starting her 3rd year at Mckinney North teaching World History. She is the freshmen coach in both volleyball and basketball. Prior to becoming a bulldog, she graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Physical Education and coaching. During her time at UNT, she spent a summer teaching various sports to teenagers in Wuxi, China.
She graduated from Sherman High School where she was a three sport athlete. She was a utility player in volleyball, point guard in basketball, and a sprinter in track. In addition to that, she proudly played the clarinet in band.
Coach Howard is the oldest of three; she has two sisters and a 1 year old niece! Her family has supported her through everything! She has an extreme obsession with sports, movies, music, and books. Be warned, she will debate any aspect of these topics!

Coach Morton is going into his sixth year teaching high school science. He has loved the game of volleyball since he called lines for division one schools, and he can’t wait to make an impact on and off the court. Coach Morton has been married to his beautiful wife for 2 years, and they love the McKinney area! Let’s go Lady Dawgs!!!!
