Role: Instructor on Record [August 2022 – Present]
Responsibilities: Exploration of a data-rich, object-oriented, and parametric digital representation of the facility, from which views and information can be extracted and analyzed for construction project acquisition, planning, and control. Specifically, this course covers the creation of 3D building information models, 4D (3D + Time) construction visualization models by integrating schedules and 3D models, and 5D Building Information Modeling (BIM) (3D + Time + Cost).

Responsibilities: Visualization, interpretation, and communication of graphical geometry in construction design and engineering; introduction to computer-aided design; introduction to the theory and application of 3-D computer models in the commercial construction process; creation, positioning in 3-D space and linking of building components to a database record, design of a wide range of construction-related valuable information in controlling project quality.

Project HOMA: Wearable technology to assess the effectiveness of virtual reality training for drone pilots.
Responsibilities:
Worked on IRB application approval
Developed a drone flight immersive VR environment using a game physics engine (i.e., Unity)
Collected physiological signals, operators’ surveys, and observers’ feedback data during both VR and real-life drone flying sessions
Performed data cleaning, mining, segmentation, and analysis
Used machine learning models to understand the effectiveness of VR training
Used deep learning models (e.g., ANN, LSTM) to predict possible future drone accidents from operators’ time-series physiological signals
