I’m calling to request your support for SF2975, authored by Senator Lindsey Port, and HF4471, authored by Representative Mike Freiberg. This bill would establish state licensure for board-certified music therapists in Minnesota.

Right now, Minnesota has no regulations for music therapy practice. This puts members of our community at risk of receiving services from individuals who are not trained, qualified, or certified to provide clinical music therapy.

By passing this legislation, you will help ensure that Minnesotans receive services only from properly educated, credentialed MT-BC professionals, and you will increase safe, equitable access to music therapy across the state.
